For the money, very, very poor. Car park & entrance is filthy, litter, weeds & broken footpaths. Thin walls, can hear people in next room talking & using toilet. Paint peeling off windowsills, toilets barely flush, worn out beds, paid extra for non-existent wi-fi (did not complain, it’s a Travelodge) All for over £100 a night, even more in July/ August. Hopefully you will be ‘lucky’ to get a front room with view of Clyde estuary. If you get a back room then good luck. Downstairs, the Commodore. Actually it’s a lovely pub, but surly staff who make it clear the Travelodge is nothing to do with them despite being same small building. They also close earlier than advertised, so don’t expect a drink if arriving after 10pm. Visiting Helensburgh? best tip I can give is keep driving!
