We had a lovely stay - the facilities and the staff were so nice and welcoming! Gave us recommendations when we went into the town. All the facilities were so clean and tidy! The site had hard standing pitches that were well maintained. The overall site was well kept. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family

Lisa and Rob are fab wardens - very caring, nothing is too much trouble and they are determined to give their campers the best experience possible. They do a fantastic job at keeping the site/facilities very clean, tidy and neat. Lisa is always easy to contact if we have any questions during our booking process. They also have a great staff team. The location is very handy for a walk in to Hay, which is a really lovely place to chill and mooch.

I arrived to a friendly welcome from Robert and Lisa, the site was well looked after, the facilities spotless, the showers are very good, plenty of hot water. no issues with the electric hook-up. The 15 minute walk into Hay is really nice, the food in the Blue Boar is very good. I will be returning next year.

A last minute get away needed so I looked for anywhere out of the way yet walking distance to a town as we have an 8.4m motormansion.. driving around is never an option... Found this site and booked it up. Welcomed on site and the site is very flat and spacious. Levelers didn't have to work hard. A really quiet night sleep, road traffic is at a minimum. We asked about walking into town and was told about a partial shortcut through some fields and over some styles and we ended up on a very minor B road which then got us to a pavement so nice and safe. About a 30 minute walk into town and it was busier than I thought it would be. Loads of coffee shops and book shops, quite nice and quirky. We will definitely come back again. Thank you very much.

Overall I rated this 4 stars, but more so because of its location to the river. The washing facilities were quite poor, quite basic. The pitches were quite small and they appeared to cram people together. However, the river was literally a 2-3 minute walk, the site was quite family oriented and was relatively quiet at night. There was a good pop up tent selling food and drinks, but not much else. Very little facilities around campsite - a pub and a garage. The cafe ran out of bacon within half hour of opening, quite poor as was bank holiday weekend. I would return if I was coming to go kayaking/paddling but if it was for a weekend camping, then I would choose elsewhere.

One of the best camping sites we have stayed in , great location for easy access to the lovely town of hay on wye. Brilliant facilities, showers and toilets excellent and staff so helpful and friendly especially Paula and Rob we will definitely go back very soon.

What a lovely campsite. We had a lovely welcome. Everything was explained to us about the site and we were given a welcome pack with tea bags, milk a map and a couple of biscuits for our dogs. We were taken to our allocated pitch The toilet, showers and washing up area were always clean The site is very peaceful and well spaced out We walked through the fields into Hay, which was a lovely and had some lovely places to eat and drink We will definitely go again, it was a hit with us all (dogs too)

What a gem of a caravan park. We booked very last minute for 2 motorhomes and they managed to juggle things around to pitch us together. We were warmly greeted with a welcome pack which even contained 2 teabags. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The toilet and shower facilities were the cleanest and best kept that we'd ever encountered. One of our party had walking difficulties, the bus which stops right outside the site took us into Hay on Wye, although it's a very picturesque short walk into Hay if you are up to it. Very peaceful even though it is next to quite a busy road which didn't bother us at all. We will definitely return.

Excellent site with immaculate facilities. Showers were the best we have used for a while. Very quiet, picturesque site with a 30min country walk to Hay-On-Wye over a field at the back (2 stiles). Hay-On-Wye is stunning. Good facilities with BBQ blocks etc. A lot of care and thought by the wardens is evident. Lots of information in the reception to enhance your stay. Site WiFi a bonus, we could stream on our pitch (45) The charge for the awning £5 per night does not apply to a canopy with no sides.
