Many words come to mind, most of which I can’t repeat here. For perspective, I will say that it appears there was a recent turnover in management (according to the new manager). Twenty days prior to arrival I booked a room on line, with Wyndham directly, for two people with two Queen beds. We arrived at 7:15pm, having called around noon to tell them we needed a late check-in. The manager advised us when we arrived that they had over booked and did not have a room with two queen beds - only a room with one queen bed. Not wanting to try and find another room with a county fair and several other events going on at 7:30 at night we agreed to take the room. No offer of a roll away bed AND tried to charge me $30 MORE for HALF THE ROOM I had reserved! (Insert swear words here). The manager did honor the original booking price. No ice machine and they were “out of ice in the freezer”. The room was clean and everything appeared to work (this would be why I gave them a “1” and not a “0”). The lobby and hallways were filthy. They do not have an elevator, which was not a problem for us but may be for some people. They could only give us one key - which was a bit problematic for us. Breakfast was edible - but not much more. Dirty tables and no biscuits for the sausage gravy (weird).
