What a fabulous homely friendly place this is, nothing is too much trouble and everything they do for you is so obviously done through care and kindness. We stay in hotels on a monthly basis around the UK and we have found that the ones with all the posh fittings and high tech check ins are generally clinical with no character or personality and the staff are clearly there just for the hourly wage. The City Inn is like staying with friends that just want you to have the best stay possible, interested in your plans and provide so much help and advice. I would rather stay with friends any day and will make this hotel my first choice when work or holiday brings me back to North Pembrokeshire.

Polite welcome from Glenn who carried my wife's bag up and gave us info on local eateries etc. Room and en suite were very clean. Beautiful view of sea and sunset. Few minute's walk from beach which was practically deserted even at this time of the year. Parking on the road outside no problem. A very nice cooked breakfast with cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit etc. You have to remove shoes at front door but understandable with new cream carpets throughout. Highly recommended.

Our family spent five nights at the YHA in a five-person room. Check-in went very smoothly. The room itself was probably the only minor disappointment of the trip. It was quite small, there were damp bubble spots on the wall and very limited storage for clothes. The shower was fine although it was a shower room with no screen, meaning everything in the bathroom got soaked and quite regularly the water would leak out under the door onto the carpet. We had dinner the first night which for what it was was fine though we did not eat there again nor have breakfast. The self-catering facilities were very good and clean with all the required utensils, crockery and cutlery. The main selling points was the location which was stunning. And the staff. We dealt a lot with Grace and Amy and both were superb, kind and courteous. So thank you for making our trip so goooooood. Another YHA hostel that I would happily return to

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Downside: Aircon system extremely noisy, and a funny smell in the room. (Probably due to never getting any fresh air as windows are permanently closed!) Other customers were also heard complaining and getting de-humidifiers being installed in their rooms.) In order to get any sleep at all (this was 11pm on New Year's Eve and no chance of being fixed, and 'Yes', we could have complained but who wants to change rooms at that time of night - with the probability that other rooms had the same problem anyway,) my ever resourceful spouse disconnected the Fan using the trip switch on Fusebox ! It meant that we lost the lights too, but at least we could get some sleep (and we had a torch !) All our clothes also 'inherited' the smell and everything had to be laundered on arriving home. A shame as we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and conscientious.
