The White Rock Hotel

I went to the White Rock Hotel in Hastings for a weekend with my Nordic Walking group. The hotel is well situated, being about 10 minutes walk from the station and the town, and 10 minutes the other way to St. Leonards. We arrived at 1:30pm and as it was a nice day we had lunch on the verandah overlooking the beach and pier, a very pleasant afternoon. The staff are great, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is very good and reasonably priced, if you are a guest at the hotel you get a 20% discount on breakfast so a cooked breakfast with orange juice cost me £7.90, you can't go wrong!! The rooms are clean and spacious and I slept well while I stayed there. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a room overlooking the sea. Although there is a carpark we were unable to find a space. The rooms are comfortable and the service is very good. Breakfast is very good but we only had dinner in the hotel once as unfortunately we were unimpressed as service was very slow and the food uninspiring. However the staff generally were very pleasant and helpful. We would return.

This hotel is comparable to Fawlty Towers. Upon check in the two ladies were having a heated discussion for at least 5 minutes before they even spoke to us. I was then lead to my room via a lift from the 80s and corridors so narrow that you could not walk down them with your bags. Upon being left in the room I turned on the light only to find that the light switch gave a large electrical shock. While the rooms were ok, the furniture was outdated and worn and the "fire door" did not fit the frame. Leaving a large gap at the bottom allowing light and noise to stream directly into the room. Later, when the rest of the party checked in, they were given keys only to find that people were already occupying those rooms and therefore had walked in on them late at night. I would not recommend this hotel unless you enjoy the constant risk of electric shocks and being walked in on

We had a lovely 1 night stay. The room was basicfir a prenier king. It was clean but very tired. Fantastic views of the seafront. The staff were friendly an the bar staff were excellent. The breakfast was amazing. I feel the common parts could be cleaner, carpets and windowsills. On the whole it was very nice.

Stayed here from Essex for one night prior to attending a wedding. Room very clean, tidy and comfortable. Hotel smart casual and relaxed. Dining and bar areas well served. All staff very nice, friendly and helpful. Excellent food /breakfast served and good menu choice. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again at some time.

I am Victoria, my husband and I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel and it is an excellent option to rest, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and they have an excellent and unforgettable view of the sea the hotel staff is very friendly, but definitely what is most spectacular is the food, super delicious, fresh, excellent presentation and the portions are quite large lol, for this they earn more than 5 stars, really the best food we have ever tried, we leave satisfied and wanting to return. truly excellent experience The only aspect to improve is that the stairs or hallways are a bit narrow and the same goes for the elevator, thaaaaaank's
