Hassan Ashok

We visited with family to this worst hotel today. After 20 min of waiting we got a masala dosa which was utter cold. Probability it was made half an hour before. When this is brought to the notice of restaurant manager he went inside the kitchen and came with a irritating dialogue " come inside the kitchen to get hot dosa". Devastating behavior, Nobody can visit such a worst hotel.

We were in Hassan with our family at the end of December 2024 and stayed at Hotel Ashhok. This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are large and clean and the service is perfect. In the evening you can have a small snack in the lounge next to the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and service-orientated. I can only recommend the Hotel Ashhok.

Originally we were booked at Pearl Hotel, Hassan, however upon arrival and inspection of the room we found it to be dirty. In poor state of repair, we chose not to stay, but called our travel agent who immediately transferred us to Ashhok Hotel. This was not much better. The bathroom had grime in all corners between floor and walls. The furnishings were run down and had much surface damage. Quite unappealing, and frankly 3rd world in appearance.

I m disappointed during the stay. I feel hotel is struggling to maintain it. Staff is lack basics. They don’t know how to deal. Even after clear instructions on booking, they provided wrong room. Food is just ok. Service is very slow even for simple coffee needs to wait for 10min. I felt as reviews are far from reality.

This was a gem of a place. Did not expect to find a hotel of this caliber in a small place like Hassan! Room was very clean, the staff super helpful. The hotel rooms and lobby have quaint furniture and fixtures that have been maintained well. Appreciated the modern (and clean) bathrooms. The grounds have old well established vegetation - I had never seen money-plant with 3 foot wide leaves before!! The onsite restaurant(s) offered both Indian and Western dishes. There was a pool as well but we did not use it - we were too busy admiring the ancient Hoysala sites around Hassan ! The hotel is not listed on US travel sites. I found the hotel through the Karnataka Tourism site. Booked the hotel by calling directly. The manager even helped us with getting transportation for sightseeing (the hotel has a travel desk). The car and the driver they provided were excellent. All in all, a memorable stay.

Very bad service and security is very bad talking gest and not responsible fome hotel management and not security in hotel plese MDsir. Change the securityplesesir hotel food service is good service
