Arden House

Lovely little guesthouse run by a fabulous couple who made you feel welcome!! Nothing was too much trouble for them, their breakfast was amazing .... Everything was freshly cooked and prepared on site!! The guesthouse is situated within walking distance of the shops and the train/bus station, it's the perfect location

I stayed here for 3 nights on a work conference. Excellent hospitality, hosts Jan and Max. Beautiful double room with ensuite facilities. Own shower, toilet and basin the in bedroom. There is lots of storage in the bedroom. A big double bed which was very comfortable and 3 pillows again very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, vast variety double sided menu and fresh fruits, muesli and home made jams (absolutely delcicious). Nothing was ever too much and they were hugely supportive, kind and caring. The flowers out the front of the property are beautiful, full bloom, huge poppy flowers which are beautiful. A very inviting hotel/bed and breakfast. Towels, toiletries, hairdryer, all provided and a kettled and endless milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate :D (thank you). The harrogate and crowne plaza is 6mins walk. Its abit if an uphill. But that's not a problem. 9-12minutes walk into town, to see the heritage, buildings and resturants. I would highly recommend the accomodation and its perfect.

The Arden is a lovely B & B. Jan and Mark are gracious, welcoming and delight to talk to about Harrogate and Yorkshire. They are so helpful and willing to help planning trips to countryside or dinner recommendations. The rooms are comfortable. The en suite bathroom is small, but fine. There is a parlor on the main floor that is available to relax in and have a drink. Breakfast is delicious and prepared to your taste, with lots of toast! Also a breakfast bar with a variety of yogurt, fresh berries (the figs were divine!), muesli, granola and different jams, honey, etc. Highly recommend!

This guesthouse / Hotel is a real gem, we have been coming to Harrogate every year for 20+ years to the Nursery Fair in October and stayed in many different locations and types of accomadation, from bigger hotels to Air BnB's, private houses etc........none of them has been as convenient, welcoming and such great value as Arden House. The rooms are not palatial but they don't need to be and are perfectly comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and very speedily served, the hosts are charming and went the extra mile to look after us fantastically. we were given flasks of Tea and Coffee to keep us energised whilst at the show and there is a trusting and well stocked honesty bar if one wants a more fortifying relax at the end of the day. Jan and Mark know how to look after their guests and i urge you to choose Arden House if you want to have a thoroughly comfortable and enjoyable stay and a very warm welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent three night stay with Jan and Mark. They were very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was superb and their attention to gluten free requirements was very reassuring. The location of the hotel is quiet and very convenient for walking to the town and off road parking is available which is great. We hope to visit again sometime.

This bed and breakfast Hotel is absolutely lovely. Mark and Jan are so friendly and welcoming, it is like home from home. The breakfast is delicious, a great choice of continental, cooked breakfasts, and fresh fruit. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the public rooms are light and airy with lovely original features. It's easy to walk to the centre which is around 6 or 7 minutes away. If I go back to Yorkshire, this is where I want to stay. Thank you Mark and Jan!

Wonderful B&B there's nothing remotely corporate about this hotel. Twin rooms are a little tight but clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for a short stay Breakfasts are spectacular excellent selection on the cold buffet and the cooked breakfast is superb particularly the omelette

We have just stayed at this fabulous place , what a find ! . We stayed in one of the apartments. It was beautiful with lovely furniture and decorations and the housekeeping standards were excellent. We had booked breakfast in the Arden House for both mornings of our stay. The food was exceptional ,again in lovely surroundings and very helpful and friendly welcoming staff. We will defiantly be going back!. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Spent three nights at Mark & Jan's guest house in September. Very Friendly. Good choice at breakfast. Rooms very clean and a good base to explore Harrogate. Make sure you visit Betty's Tea Rooms. Would hope to stay longer next time. Nichols family
