If you enjoy being berated for asking questions, told you are a liar and then being kicked out, the City Motor Inn is the place for you. After missing a sign that said not to back in to the parking spots, I backed into a parking spot and started unloading my belongings into my room. Upon returning to my car for the rest of my stuff, one of the owners approached me and asked me to repark my car "nose in". I had no trouble doing this and did it right away, but I made the mistake of asking why they have this policy, expecting a story about how someone had tried to back in and hit something. Instead I was told people are not very good at backing in and that if I didn't like it I could stay somewhere else! I pointed out that I had already moved my car, but that he could work on his "Customer Service" skills. He then told me that I would not be staying at his motel and that I had been locked out of my room, a room that I had paid for in advance. He then went into the room and removed my belongings and told me to get out. As it was almost 8pm, I did not want to go searching for another place to stay. I told him that if I had said something to justify his BIZARRE reaction (I did not say bizarre, I think I said "something that offended him"), I apologise. That was not good enough and I was forced to go looking for another room. There are two positives about this experience: 1. The room that I found was MUCH nicer than the shoebox that I would have had at the City Motor Inn, 2. I was able to get a full refund of my advance purchase. I guess behaviour like this is why there were only three or four cars in the parking lot.
