This place needs lots of help… - hot water only on 4th floor. - showers back up /don’t drain for 16 minutes - half the gym equipment is broken - duct tape covering broken tiles in front of the elevators - crap beer selection and the draft beer lines have NOT been cleaned in years It’s clear the management is disinterested in managing. Front desk was nice and the breakfast was surprisingly good, but this nowhere near meets even the minimum threshold for a Marriott Bonvoy property.

This is a solid choice in the Vintage Park area of Houston. The exterior is a little underwhelming, but the rooms are clean and nice sized. I appreciate the small living room / desk area so you have a seating option other than the bed. It is not a luxury place, but honestly, the rates are not luxury rates so it feels like a decent value. I thought the breakfast was good, compared to other hotel chains in this range. Good options and still warm! I would recommend asking for a room on the opposite side from Interstate 249 just to minimize road noise. It didn’t bother me, but I am not a light sleeper. I have also tried the Element Hotel in this area (dirty!) and the Hyatt (breakfast was NOT good), so I think is the best of the three close by.

Newer or recently upgraded facility, large room and bathroom, modern minimalist design. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Great bed and reading lights, good workspace and couch area. Near walking trails. Fridge only stays on 2 hrs then shuts off and must be restarted, not very practical. Friendly staff, good free breakfast choices. Somewhat noisy if facing highway, otherwise surrounded by woodlands.

Springhill Suites has been my families home for roughly the last 4 months, while we were dealing with home issues. The staff were beyond accomodating and made a rough time fairly easy. Most places of business are just that, a place of business and the primary concern is their bottom dollar. We were treated as an extension of the Springhill Suites family and not like customers. The accomodations given to my family wouldn't have been at any other hotel I'm certain and the staff assisted in every way imaginable to help us. Sam: Whatever was needed you made it happen with no hesitation, thank you! Lynn: Starbucks on me whenever I'm around.... between all of the words of encouragement and even sharing some of your personal stories you made a hard time a bit easier for us. Like Sam, anything we needed on your shift you made happen as well. Valencia: Always pleasant and quick to respond to needs thank you. Craig: Thank you for always having a kind word and even assisting with potential relocation options for us. I appreciate all of our late night chats in between customers checking in as well. Appreciate you brother.... Now that I've gotten the important stuff out the way, I'll review the actual hotel. Rooms: We were in the largest room in the hotel and it's quite spacious. In the hotel all of the rooms are suites by design, just different layouts. A suggestion to elevate the hotel even more would be a design refresh and TV upgrades. I've seen others review the pull out beds having stains, but that is a sign that it's time to put new mattresses in. Cleaning staff: 10/10. If there was an issue from a cleaning perspective, it was dealt with right away. Bedding was always clean and smelled fresh, towels, and they vacuumed and mopped so the rooms were always good for us. Free breakfast: Good options, just repetitive. My suggestion would be to rotate the menu weekly and always have a non pork option for breakfast meat daily, versus switching from pork to non pork. Customer service: 10/10
