La Dolce Vita Hotel

Hotel was very nice when you walk in and it had a really nice perfume in the lobby. Staff was very nice. I stayed on the 8th floor and didn’t know how the shower worked so I would end up flooding the bathroom but it would rain itself a few hours later. Ask how to drain the shower! Shower pressure was also nice. There’s no elevator to the 8th floor so I got some exercise getting off the 7th floor to take the stairs up. The AC does work once you figure out how to work it. Would stay here again since it was in the middle of the city. Breakfast was fine, don’t expect too much.

We had a brief stay at the hotel at the start of our tour of wonderful Vietnam so it was adequate for a one night stop but the rooms are in need of an upgrade. The breakfast was fine but the breakfast room was not big enough to cater for the number of guests. The location of the hotel was its biggest asset.

THIS hotel is a lovely little gem! Tucked in on a busy side street of Hanoi, The Dolce Vita is a little hotel with a big heart. Listed as a traditional three star- the hotel staff strives to provide a five star personal experience. The hotel is well located, clean, close to walkable attractions, and comfortably appointed. With that said, what makes it stand apart is the staff, most notably Anthony the hotel manager. From his pleasant greeting, to solid recommendations for restaurants (there is a Michelin Star Street Food restaurant right around the corner that he recommended!) to helping us set up a tour, arranging a Cyclo Ride through Hanoi, delicious breakfast, it was one of my favorite hotels, from the many that we stayed with on our tour. The rooms could use some updating but nothing that detracts from the loveliness of the hotel overall. When I return to Hanoi, I will definitely stay here again, and look forward to seeing Anthony!

The bedrooms could do with a refurbishment. The bed linen and valance felt dirty as did the bathroom . We were on a tour with a group and we were glad we only had to stay here one night. It’s a shame because the hotel is in a great location. The staff were kind.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour so didn't have a choice to stay. Before arriving the reviews put me off a little and it lived up to those reviews. Firstly, upon checking in at the hotel I lay down on the bed to have a rest and then someone walked in to my room, quickly apologised and walked out. It made me feel uneasy about the stay. The hotel bed also didn't include a doona and instead only the cover which was a light sheet. I found this strange that there was no blanket filler. Finally, the shower head was the worst. There was water coming out of only 1/3rd of the holes and spraying in random directions piercing my skin. It felt like needles. I must say, I did ask others in my group whether their shower head was like this and they reported not however I saw other reviews which also stated this. Also the walls were quite dirty with feet marks - attached in photos. I would not likely stay at this hotel again but for one night as part of the tour, it's doable.

This was our first hotel On our g adventures tour of Vietnam. Plus point was the very friendly and helpful staff. Negatives were a poor room which was damp with a terrible musty smell. The safe did not work and whilst the bathroom was clean the shower was very old and spat out scalding hot water like needles on your skin. I would not recommend
