Kailani Suite at Hana Kai Resort

The facility and the grounds are breathtaking. The view is absolutely gorgeous of a black sand and pebble Beach so you can knock that must see site off your list just by staying at the hotel. The room was large and comfortable with a full kitchen and a very large balcony Looking over the ocean. Also a small patio in front that we did not go to. We hung out mostly on the back balcony enjoying that gorgeous view. The hotel has very individualized rooms so one is not like the other which you can see if you search for available rooms on the website. Our room was 101 and I would have to say that it was tastefully worn. Not exactly in tiptop shape, but probably not a lot different than your house. The mattress on this particular trip was not the most comfortable kind of lumpy and sinking in the middle, but that’s the only bad thing we can say about the place. I definitely would recommend staying here, and making sure to stay the night in Hana and not just try to drive here do everything and drive back to the other side of the island that’s way too much and you’re not going to enjoy it. You will read on the website that there is not air conditioning, that is true, and you don’t need it.

Dreaming of the perfect spot in Hāna? This was it for us. We bought groceries in Kahului and stayed in for most meals. The condo was cozy and cute. We had perfect weather, only one of the 6 days was somewhat rainy. I’d go again and do it all over again exactly the same. Service was great too!

Top floor ocean view was my dream. Ocean breeze and stocked unit 4 kitchen. Tons of cooking gear. No dishwasher. Sunrise over the black sand beach is like the movies. Highly recommend staying a night in Hana after the road to Hana and then hiking 4 mile Pipiwea trail in the morning when it’s quiet. Hana has lots of food as long as you buy it by 5 pm. Restaurants and grocery store and excellent food trucks for breakfast until 4 pm. Breeze kept us cool. Tides were like white noise. Amazing. Helpful staff, beach towels at front desk. 70s glamour vibe.

Hana Kai Maui - perfect stop at the end of a long day road trip on Hana Highway. scenic ocean view room, large terrace, and a well stocked kitchen to be able to cook a meal and enjoy the view. There are terraces on both sides. Spacious living room. The standing fan was a bit noisy however the breeze in the evening was pleasant to sleep without fan / AC. Convenient parking outside.

This place was so wonderful! We stayed in unit #3 and we were so happy. We loved the porch, the comfy bed, the cute kitchen. Our stay could not have been better! So glad we picked this location and if you are thinking about staying here I say YES! Also I had the office arrange a massage in my room and it was the best massage of my life!! I loved Hana and loved our condo!

Wow..the views are amazing. I was in the lower building with unobstructed views of the. Water and a corner lanai that did not face any other bldg.. I had the windows open all night , listening to surf crash on the beach. I would go back in heartbeat. Room was incredible, staff was incredible..if I could give them 10 stars I would. Town does close early so either plan on cooking your own meal or but there was one restaurant open.. I did not go. Picked up groceries at the local store to cook breakfast..be prepared it’s pricey($10 for 5 English muffins, $10 for 12 eggs, etc. )
