I loved the beach and my 3 night stay was mostly relaxing, but I can’t help but feel a little disappointed overall with the service from the front desk and restaurants. Sadly some of the staff I encountered made me feel unwelcome so I’m unlikely to return. It’s clear some guests receive better treatment than others, I wonder if because I’m younger side of their clientele I wasn’t treated the same? Or perhaps the club/condo owners receive priority? Overall I don’t think the hotel is a good value considering the price we paid (around $950 per night including tax/fees). Communication prior to arrival was excellent and had me really excited! The front desk sent a list of questions for me to fill out (was I celebrating anything, what time did I prefer room cleaning etc). However, some of the front desk employees in-person were unfriendly, dismissive, and not detail oriented. The first issue was that I made dinner reservations weeks before we arrived, but once we checked in on-site there was confusion over which restaurants I had reservations at because it turns out a wedding was taking place at one of the restaurants. Then when I came to them with an issue that they dropped the ball on, they made me feel like it was my fault. Notably there a problem with the hotel arranged airport transportation. Airport pickup was smooth but for the return trip I asked the front desk staff what time I should expect my taxi. I was told a bellman would call my room the day before check out with taxi details and tell me what time they would pick up my luggage. This never happened. So the night before check out I went to ask the front desk in person and was told the details weren’t available. I called later and again my taxi details were never ready. I then went back again the morning of check out and the front desk worker told me a totally different process for arranging the taxi/luggage pickup and was honestly quite rude about the whole thing. Thankfully the bellman guys were very helpful. Another recurring problem at The Reefs was the nearly non existent WiFi and cell service on the property. It’s really bad, borderline unacceptable to the point where I couldn’t receive/send texts most of the day. Additionally the smart tv in the room could not connect to the WiFi (no LAN connection) so it was impossible to log into Netflix etc. Next, while food was great, all of the restaurants and bars were very understaffed even though the high season is just beginning. I believe the hotel was at capacity during my visit so I’m not sure why The Reefs did not have more people working. It took way too long time to have servers initially come to the table (sometimes 10 minutes), and then they would disappear again. Servers were really nice but would forget simple items we asked for, like water. The understaffing was noticeable at Coconuts because the maitre d was responsible for clearing and resetting tables (no bussers?) so guests would wait for awhile around the host

Amazing resort. Beautiful location. The private beach was great with excellent service by the beach attendants. The maid assigned to our room Buttonwood was truly one of the best. Her attention to detail was second to none. The hotel reception staff were kind and friendly and extremely helpful. The food at the resort was top notch. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough. We will be back.

My Reefs stay in July 2024 was outstanding. The entire staff was extremely friendly, helpful, absolutely great. Much thanks to Jordon at the front desk, Ryan & Vincent in Food Services and Kai /bell hop. Food was great, facility was extremely clean and the view was magnificent. Truly a great location, and the bus is just 30 seconds from the lobby. I'm back in October !

The Reefs is our favourite spot for family getaways. This is our 7 th visit. A gorgeous comfortable place every time. Concierge and housekeeping are superheroes! Dining has gone way downhill. Acqua Terra meal was inedible and at the poolside bar it became a running joke that the kitchen refused to put a sauce on the side for about ten straight days ?!? Bartending hit or miss. And they seem to take a captive audience for granted. Coconuts is terrific. I think they will sort it out but they need to.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Reefs. I can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff was from minute one when the valets greet you by name helping with your bags and you are escorted inside to a lovely Rum Swizzle and cool towel…true pampering. The other patrons were equally as pleasant. We all remarked to each other at the beach as we were floating on pool noodles in the most beautiful water you can imagine or sitting in the hot tub overlooking the sea…This is the life. The views just caused you to stop and admire every day. We appreciated so many things like easy access to towels, snorkels, paddle boards, kayaks, chairs, tables, noodles, umbrellas- no rigid rules or worry about getting a chair. The fact that you can order off the menu or do the buffet or any combination you want for free breakfast inside or outside on a gorgeous patio, a real bonus. Little things like you can stay past checkout and shower and change in a nice room. Turndown service and afternoon tea also lovely. Coconuts in the evening is wonderful- yummy food- world class beach/cliff views- chirping frogs- so relaxing and dare I say romantic. We enjoyed renting a mini car onsite and running around the island one day. The spa was also really amazing. The beach BBQ was a fun unique experience. We will be back for sure.

We had a great four nights at The Reefs. It was our first time to Bermuda and I think we chose the right place for us. We absolutely loved our room with its beautiful views. All of the workers were very kind and helpful. We ate all of our meals except one evening, at the hotel and enjoyed the food. Lunch at Coconuts and dinner at Aqua Terrace were all fabulous. The private beach was a great asset to the hotel and we really enjoyed spending time there. We rented a Tazzi across the road one day and toured the islands. It was much easier than trying to get taxis to the different beaches. My only complaint was the wifi. It was awful. Maybe because of our room location? I know you are supposed to "unplug" on vacation, but we still like to keep up to date, especially with hurricanes, airline schedules, family etc. We had to pay for an international plan from our carrier as the wifi was that useless.

Awesome trip. Went there for 2 days and it far exceeded my expectations. Breath taking beach and views. Pool with hot tub overlooking whats like a perfect island painting. The staff is incredible from the front desk, to management, bell hop, to the restaurants. I have not one bad word to say about anyone there. They bend over backwards to help you. Minutes from pga golf course, restaurants, bars, horseshoe bay, with taxis waiting if needed. If your looking for a quiet escape to paradise this is the place to stay.

Staying on the South shore of Bermuda for over 40 years we have stayed at many of the finest resorts. The Reefs offers a pristine beach, crystal clear water, rooms with southwesterly vistas and gorgeous sunsets... like a number of other resorts in the area. What we found that set The Reefs apart was the treatment we received from pickup to departure. Every member of the staff took pride in ownership, although I doubt many of them were owners, and treated us like we were long lost relatives to be pampered, many needs anticipated, those that weren't eagerly and pleasantly tended to. Lena Mae the maitre'd at Aqua Terra was the epitomy of old school Bermudian grace, manners and attentiveness. Chris the dining room supervisor went out of his to tend to my wife's sprained ankle when she fell. My memory fails when trying to remember every name of the staff that deserved to be recognized. Bermuda is home to many fine venues; what sets The Reefs apart is the quality and consistency of service.

I am a Reef's repeater for good reason. Our family started our Reef's journey in 1990 and have been 7+ times. There is good reason; the beach is stellar, food is sublime and the views are expansive. Rooms are comfortable. The gardens are well manicured featuring hedges of Rosemary. We return for another stay in Nov. I cannot wait!
