Ravana Garden

I enjoyed the beautiful oceanview, the nature and sustainable quality of ravana garden, the wonderful stories, the kindness of management and staff, chatinis and dilkis way of taking care of my personal wishes and the friendly personality of lakshita the butler. Thank you to all of you for the stories you told!

My wife and I recently stayed at Ravana Garden in September 2024, and from the moment we made the reservation to the time we checked out, everything was flawless. Dilini contacted us multiple times before our arrival to ensure our food preferences and any special requests were taken care of. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a lovely introduction to the place. The hotel is situated right by the beach with a stunning pool, perfect for relaxation. While the menu focuses on delicious and healthy local cuisine, it’s worth noting that if you’re expecting international dishes, they might not be available—but the food here is exceptional! Athula took us on a memorable excursion to Ussangoda Beach, where we watched a breathtaking sunset from the cliffs—another unforgettable moment. The staff surprised us with several thoughtful touches that we won’t spoil, as they add to the charm of the experience. Lakshitha, the F&B star, and his team went above and beyond, arranging a magical bonfire and candlelit dinner on the beach, which was a highlight of our stay. Milan and the rest of the team were also incredibly helpful throughout. Honestly, there wasn’t a single flaw. Our experience at Ravana Garden was easily a 10/10, and we can’t recommend it enough.

What a fantastic authentic Sri Lankan hotel. We loved it. The staff should all be very proud of the amazing service they provide their guests. Dilki looked after us even before we arrived, advising me on local trips and arranging everything. Special thanks to Thilak for being our tour guide, he even found a safe place for us all to swim in the sea, beyond the call of duty! Thanks to Dilki for pre arranging golf also, only 30 mins from a top course. Their priority is our happiness and it’s clear that’s true, as nothing was too much trouble. They even gave me a choice of rooms, one next to my family and another above with a wonderful terrace! Food is excellent, would advise you to explain upfront if you don’t like spicy food, they will adjust the very tasty menu accordingly. Thanks to the Chefs Dilhani, Indika and Vikash for the wonderful food! All the staff from the gardener Ariyarantne to accounts and others behind the scenes work like a family to make your stay special. We loved the beach dinner and bonfire, and dinner by the pool - Amal, Dilki and the chefs made for 3 wonderful evenings. Thank you for everything Ravana Garden !

We visited Ravana Gardens for our honeymoon, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome that made us feel right at home. The staff, especially Dulki and Lakshitha, were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special and comfortable. Their top-notch hospitality included a complimentary picnic, a photoshoot, and a candlelit dinner by the beach, and they even made a cake just for us. The authentic food was a culinary delight, adding to the overall charm of our stay. The peaceful location provided a serene and romantic backdrop for our honeymoon. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations and made our celebration unforgettable.

a lovely quaint resort where you can experience tranquility, nature and restore your senses. The food is truly amazing. Each breakfast, lunch and dinner was a healthy feast full of flavour and great variety, yet sustainable local produce. The staff was very kind and they made us feel very at home. My kids (4 and 8 yo) loved also the pool and we enjoyed all the trips the staff suggested. The resort also offers massages which were absolutely perfect. Do not leave without buying spices and tea/coffee from their own production. Highly recommended for anyone interested in experiencing Sri Lankan cuisine, nature and people. and travel in a sustainable and eco-friendly way.

A wonderful and highly relaxing break at Ravana Garden with the most friendly and hospitable staff. Going out of season we were the only guests throughout our stay and were spoiled as a result, the Ravana Garden Team could not have been more attentive, and looked after us with interesting excursions (especially the river cruise (not to be missed) and wonderful local menus. The location is exceptional right on the beach and we were lucky to have the first floor room with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Highly recommended and excellent value for money. `

Excellent location . Staff was very helpful and polite from the entrance throughout our stay. The beach was one of the best I have visited so far. The staff members joined us for the lovely walk down the beach towards the Ussangoda mountain . They helped our little kids to climb the rocks and were ready with a much needed surprise treat on the top. I have heard many stories about Ussangoda plateau but after visiting the place I can’t stop believing that this is some sort of a pre historic spot. The food and the entrance were deliberately kept less exotic according the management policy of not damaging environment and avoiding processed food which went well with my vegetarian and organic food preferred wife and kids. I will definitely visit this place again.

An unforgettable experience at Ravan Gardens Hotel! The warm hospitality of the staff made our family feel right at home. The delicious cuisine, mostly sourced from local suppliers, was a delightful highlight. Plus, kudos to their eco-friendly approach; not a single plastic bag or bottle in sight throughout our entire stay. Highly recommend for a tranquil and sustainable retreat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A truly getaway with our busy life style. As a family we always love to visit places where nature is close to us. I always recommend this lovely Boutique Hotel for anyone who loves to taste authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with natural ingredients. Do not expect Fast foods or any other unhealthy foods over here. When it comes to Ravana Garden People they all are such a wonderful family.. Starting from Chathini and Amal doing a nice service and then the Chefs Dilhani, Indika does prepare amazing mouth watering food items and then Resturant staff also amazing Specially Malith ..... also Lakshitha.
