Lagoon Gate Tangalle Resort

The room is very good and clean. And we can see the lagoon view from our room. And the food is very delicious and healthy. We can eat many Sri Lanka fruits in the every morning. And their garden also good. There are some vegetables and fruits in there. And animals and birds also. It’s was very comfortable. We can go to safari in uladawa and ride on the boat in the lagoon. Every staff is very kindly and anytime they can help us. Everything is very good . We are very enjoying and relaxing in this hotel. Thank you so much for everything. I want to stay there again.

Lovely and calm place on the coast with lagoon. Possible to cayak there and see many birds, fisherman who catch the seafood in the morning. Very tasty breakfasts and dinners made and served with love. The manager Lalith is very hard working and friendly man with long experience in hotel runnings and knows how to make the stay beautiful incl. surprise with coconut water served by the swimming pool. Rooms are unique each of them and very comfortable bed. If necessary, he can arrange the transports and ayurvedic treatment on the place.

Our group of 24 did not stay overnight but had a delicious lunch. Prawns and crayfish plus fish where the main elements. The place is beautiful, being set on a lagoon. I enjoyed watching sea eagles and lace monitor lizards. We had a brief look at the accommodation that also seemed top class. Staff serving us at lunch were attentive and smiling. Highly recommended.

Wonderful lunch , great SL hospitality. Our tour group stopped at this boutique resort for lunch. It was a friendly resort. The rooms ware well appointed. We watched birds, monitors, and even a snake , while resting in the shade listening to a local band playing music. Lunch was crayfish, prawns bbq fish - all delicious. While this resort is off the beaten track , it is a restful place to escape to for a few days.

I would definitely recommend this place, especially for people who like to get away from mainstream tourism and at the same time enjoy the excellent living conditions. The place is located right next to a lagoon with lots of birds, very chilled out and relaxing vibes. The price to quality ratio is excellent, the rooms are very nice, comfortable, clean and modern. The service also deserves a specjał praise - everyone is very friendly and helpful ( special shout out to the owner and Salinde!)- they will help you with everything you might need. We arrived at the hotel without booking in advance- after a short while we had a room ready, tasty food on the table and a scooter which was arranged by the staff. I would also add that we were heading back to the airport from this location and were not completely sure of the person we were travelling with. The hotel owner spoke to the driver, took his phone number and called us after a while to check that everything was OK. Trust me - you will have a nice time here !

I recently had an amazing time at Lagoon Gate Resort with my friends! I have to specially mention about the friendliness and attentiveness of staff. The room was spotless, and the meals were outstanding. The evening water kayaking experience was an unforgettable and enchanting adventure. I'm already looking forward to returning to this wonderful place!
