The hotel is in a nice location right by the canal so it's easy to go for a pleasant stroll. The receptionist was great, he obviously enjoyed his job and wanted to make you feel welcome. We had an unusual motel style rooms on the bottom floor so we could park outside the door - easy to unload cases. The clean bedroom was typical Premier Inn but it was slightly smaller than usual, there was only 1 chair and no table (only a very small desk which was covered in tea making stuff and menus so there was little space). There was hanging space for clothes but, bizarrely, nowhere to put 'flat' clothing so we had to use our case. The large TV was very clear with a good signal but the wi-fi was really slow and kept dropping out, I ended up using my mobile as a hot spot instead. The bathroom had a great walk in shower (thank heavens, I hate clambering over the side of a bath) and it was hot with great pressure. Breakfast was at Brewers Fayre next door and was cooked to order so it was hot and fresh - very good. There was also the usual choice of continental items on offer and good coffee from a machine. We also had an evening meal in the Brewers Fayre which was surprisingly good although the place itself was a bit soulless. I'd stay again when visiting Halifax.
