We stayed August 6-10 23’, and had a great time. All of the staff were professional and kind. All spoke Hungarian and English. We never encountered any problems with them being rude or ignoring any person in our party. A lot of them went out of their way to exchange pleasantries. We stayed in the main building, which is a bit dated and the rooms may have been on the smaller side, but we did not go to Hajdùszoboszlò to sit around in our hotel room. This city and hotel has too much to offer. Our room was cleaned every day, and we were able to exchange towels, both for our shower and for the wellness pools when we requested. For the most part we used the pool in the main building. It was huge, had a separate area for children and a swim up bar for the adults. Compared to the other hotels on the strip, the outdoor pool looked like the Atlantic Ocean. The entire outdoor pool and indoor thermal baths were maintained all day long by a tall gentleman that kept everything clean and in order. Not sure, but he may have also been the hotels lifeguard as well. The food at dinner was very good, and there was always multiple dishes to chose from. Primarily a Hungarian menu: soups, light salads, pickles, 3 types of meat, fish, rice, vegetables, potatoes and small deserts with fresh fruit. But there is a major con to dinner that I will get to at the end of the pro’s with Hotel Silver. Breakfast was also very good. Eggs, breads, farina, fruits, potatoes, small cakes, cereal, yogurt, coffee and fruit juices. Big pro here, each morning Hotel Silver have palinka, wine spritzers and champagne out the jump start your morning, free of charge! There is also a chef at a flat grill that will cook up some fresh eggs and ham if you choose. I have to compliment the chef that was working the days we were there. He was friendly and was great at his job, very exceptional. The hotel should be proud him and the great job he does. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. Please thank him again for me! Now for a few cons, but there aren’t many. Dinner time offers no drinks free of charge. Not even for children. You have to pay for whatever you want and it isn’t cheap! Please keep in mind that gratuities are included in the prices as well. They even charged a per drink gratuity at the walk up and swim up bar, even though we ordered multiple drinks in a single transaction. 3 drinks, 3 gratuity charges. We were even charged extra for strawberry syrup for a strawberry lemonade! They basically have you over a barrel. You could be a cheat and go across the street to Coop and purchase drinks and sneak them in. We did only for water for in our room. That’s not how we roll and we respect to policies of the hotel. Another con and this is not a knock on the hotel. Most of the guests were friendly and considerate of other guests. But there are always a few bad apples that are selfish. It is a buffet style dinner and breakfast. But some of the guests wo
