Great place to set up as a home base for playing golf in East Lothian. Played Kilspindie, Dunbar, Gullane and Craigelaw. All links courses difficult in the windy conditions we had all 4 days. Nice comfortable rooms with a great breakfast selection served by friendly owners. Easy train commute into Edinburgh from glenniddry train station.

The lodge was absolutely fantastic, as soom as you get there and park up you are greated by dome absolute stunning views, sadly we only booked 1 night as we were using it as a stopping point on our journey home, but from that one night, we are already looking to book a longer stay. The room was outstanding and super comfortible, best night sleep i have had in months, the hosts were also super welcoming and lovely to talk too, after our night we woke up to a stunning breakfast and a warm morning greating again from the hosts, the food was amazing as well. Anyone on the fence about staying here should go for it. Really is fantastic.

We stayed here for a couple of nights after a few days walking in highlands. We'd received plenty of information beforehand and were looking forward to the stay. We weren't disappointed, Angela and David were very welcoming and friendly, the room was lovely with a large comfortable bed and excellent shower. My wife had arranged a bottle of prosecco to drink in the hot tub and we spent a good couple of hours admiring the views over the Firth of Forth and the surrounding countryside. There's a little snug which is perfect to sit in and watch the sunset (weather permitting). The food was delicious and the black pudding at breakfast is one of the best I have tasted. We had some treatments booked in the spa which Angela had thoughtfully managed to switch around so we were both in at the same time. The spa had the same friendly atmosphere and all the staff made you feel very relaxed. We also enjoyed a nice couple of hours in the bar chatting on the evening and the good range of drinks are reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to hopefully fitting in a stay on a future trip.

This friendly hotel was perfect for what we needed and the hosts looked after us like we were royalty! Beautifully decorated suites with comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast. Like home from home. A well stocked bar and all at a very reasonable price. We would 100% stay there again. It’s close to Haddington which is a lovely town with great bars and restaurants. The views across the coastline were breathtaking.

We stayed here for 3 nights early part of June, prior to a wedding in North Berwick. Our room was a loft suite which was absolutely fabulous. Breakfast has a great varied choice and is delicious. David and Angela are very welcoming hosts and will help in any way they can. If I visit North Berwick again this is where we will be staying.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three day visit to Garleton Lodge. We picked a quiet time and that suited us fine. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean. Everything you could want is provided. Liked having a fridge. Quality toiletries. Beautiful views and some lovely sunsets. Quiet, quiet, lovely. Two comfortable chairs at the patio door to take in the view. There are three resident dogs - the ‘pup’ being Murdo who quite simply is personality plus !! If you like being away from the busyness you will love it here. Did I mention breakfast - endless choices. I managed to put on 4 lbs which are refusing to budge .

The perfect location with a gorgeous 360 view. Wonderful hosts, attentive and hospitable. Stunning selection n of whisky with a knowledgable guardian of these treasures - always happy to share. we will be back asap :-) Plenty of greatest golf courses in the vicinity.

A warm wellcome, good room and apt advice on the golf that was played on fine courses in sunny weather. The hosts David and Angela were fun to be with and we enjoyed our stay so much that a return is likely. David had booked good golf and all arrangements were tip top. As an added bonus their dogs befriended us and we had a splendid time. To be recomended!

Oh my goodness, where do I begin?! Gorgeous suite with the most comfortable beds and absolutely the best sleep of my month in Europe! Glorious views which you can enjoy not only from my bedroom window but also from from the hot tub or The Snug (lovely cozy and heated out building where we relaxed and took in the incredible views) and an amazing wine list, and truly incredible food prepared by Chef Angela! Definitely eat anything and everything she offers, Michelin star quality! Also fabulous, David gave us the most wonderful and knowledgeable journey through Scottish malt (and there is a wee tipple waiting for you in your room!) Easy and short train ride to Edinburgh for a day trip, and close to charming villages for more sightseeing, but honestly I didn’t want to leave the gorgeous grounds. Wonderful end to my trip before returning to Canada. Absolutely recommended!
