🌟 Hotel Review: Taj Vivanta, Guwahati, Assam – A Deeply Disappointing Experience 🌟 We recently stayed at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati (Assam), expecting top-tier service and comfort from a brand like Taj. Sadly, the experience turned out to be extremely frustrating and disappointing. 👉 Poor Housekeeping: Despite several requests, housekeeping was extremely careless. Staff would arrive with just a small cloth, wipe a few spots here and there, and leave in a hurry. They didn’t even empty the dustbin, and the cleaning was nowhere near Taj standards. 👉 Unresponsive Room Dining & Reception: Neither reception nor room dining answered phone calls. We tried calling over 50 times, and still no response. When we finally managed to place an order, the food was delivered after 2–3 hours, which is completely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. 👉 Unexpected Water Cuts in Bathroom: There were water cuts in the washroom without any prior intimation. And once again, no one answered the phone to provide help or information. 👉 No Mini Bar or Stocked Fridge: The room didn’t even have a mini bar, and while there was a fridge, it was completely empty. For a premium property, this felt extremely cheap and poorly managed. Honestly, it felt like staying in a budget lodge near a railway station, not in a luxury Taj hotel. Such poor service severely damages the reputation of the Tata brand — whether it’s Tata Motors, Air India, and now even Taj Hotels. We had initially planned to stay at Radisson Blu, but changed our mind thinking Taj would offer a better experience. That decision turned out to be a costly mistake. We wasted ₹1,20,000 for a stay that didn’t even deliver basic hospitality standards. A shockingly bad experience from a brand we once trusted and respected.
