Hoteles en Guimarães con Desayuno

Nos ingresamos el 25 de marzo para 1 noche para 3 personas (2 adultos + 1 niño) y nos informaron que la reserva en la reserva no era para 3 personas, sino para 2 adultos. Nos pareció extraño, pero lo que nos sorprendió más fue que nos pidieron 25€ por una cama extra (UN DIVAN PARTE CUANDO LAS FOTOS) cuando en la reserva, sitio por el que hicimos la reserva aparece 15€, por cama extra. ¿Qué no fue nuestra sorpresa que, de manera extremadamente arrogante y sin personalidad para la atención del público, la señora de la recepción nos dijo que el valor no estaba en la reserva escrita, sino que para la habitación donde estabamos no era 15€, sino 25€, Nos puede justificar tal diferencia de precio. Dice que el precio es este y listo. Estamos extremadamente decepcionados con este hotel y, desaconsejamos su estadía en él. Busque otro hotel porque este está muy a la espera. En cuanto a la funcionaria en la recepción, quizás piensen en poner a empleados que saben al menos ser apropiados con el cliente.

Hotel 4 estrellas genial, por poner algo negativo es que está a 40-50 minutos de Porto en Guimaraes. Pero a pesar de todo, muy cerca del centro histórico y bien comunicado por bus o tren con Porto. Las instalaciones son geniales, muy bien cuidadas y el personal muy correcto. Comida buffet muy completa y restaurante a la carta exquisito. Piscina climatizada, jacuzzis y saunas completan la zona spa. Muy recomendable.

Hotel céntrico, aunque nos costó encontrarlo porque está un poco ” escondido”. No tiene parquing propio pero sí un estacionamiento público delante. Nos aparcó el coche un miembro del personal. Habitación grande, cama muy grande y cómoda, dos almohadas. El desayuno no es buffet, consta de: zumo NATURAL, copa de fruta fresca tipo macedonia, pero natural, jamón cocido y queso, yogur natural, croissant, bizcocho, pasteles de Belén. Sí quieres huevos cocidos, revueltos, tortilla, huevo frito, tostada, mermelada...lo pides y te lo traen. Personal muy agradable. Buena relación calidad - precio.

El Hotel Fundador estaba cerrado, nos hospedamos en el hotel de al lado, el Hotel de Guimarães, que aún pertenecía a la dirección. Ambos hoteles están ubicados junto a la estación de tren. Ambiente agradable y acogedor.

Ibis Guimaraes Centro Guimaraes Second time, and last time...... While in Guimarães we realised why we had such a problem finding a hotel in the area we wanted to be in, as there was the CONTEXTILE 2022 - Contemporary Textile Art Biennial 03.09. – 30.10.2022. The town was absolutely heaving the weekend we were there. It is over twenty years since we stayed in an IBIS hotel, and that was in the UK. We thought we would give this a try as we had no luck getting in anywhere else even though we looked early enough in the year for a place. We booked months ago. We had just arrived back from a break in Porto and the Açores. So this is our second stay in an Ibis hotel, and definitely our last! After checking in the previous evening, we went to the bar and asked for a beer and a glass of white wine. The chap on reception said we could only have a white wine if we bought the bottle, so we declined that offer as my husband only drinks red wine or beer. Later in the evening we arrived back and a young woman was on reception/bar duty. So I asked if I could have a glass of red wine? She told me I would have to buy a bottle of red! I asked her if they did anything by the glass? Yes, was her reply, I could buy a glass of white wine, which I did, and my husband had a beer. I don't know why the receptionist /barman told us why we would have to buy white wine when we were basically in Vinho Verde region where it is abundant! The room itself was clean and tidy, but in a time warp of the nineteen seventies with it's Neopolitan decor. Bed is comfy enough. The power block and the aircon were the only bonuses I can think of. Only a bath towel each, no hand towels, we really do like a hand towel after washing our hands and faces, NOT ideal to use a bath towel for this! The receptionist who worked mornings was very helpful and pleasant. As for breakfast, which was adequate, the fact that two people sat at a table for four, every morning while we were there, and put their bags and scarves on the chairs beside them is really annoying. Trying to get a table at your allotted time is bad enough, getting a table with two chairs was almost impossible at times. I asked for a chair, and the elderly woman looked at me with steely eyes because I was expecting her to put her bag and scarf on her knee, or at worst, the floor! How inconsiderate am I? I felt sorry for the lady who was in charge of making sure everything was there for breakfast, she was on her own and very busy. So many people just left their dirty trays on the tables and walked away knowing that other people would be turning up for breakfast. We all like to sit down to a clean table, but if other guests are too lazy to move their dirty trays, then there isn't a lot you can do about improving their manners. Three people turned up one morning and they stood by the table and waited for the lady who ran the kitchen, to come out of the kitchen to move the dirty trays to the trolley for them, the trolley being less tha

We were there around end of December, 2022. The owners started this business 6 months before our stay. They are so nice to accommodate all our requests, like gave us a microwave oven while our stay, so we could have take out food. The breakfast had eggs, cheese, yogurt, cold cuts and great coffee. Good food, service, and clean. 3 things to notice: —It’s not 24 hours hotel, so be sure your get code from order website to get in, and remember the owner phone number. The owner showed up in several minutes. —It’s 7 -10 walking minutes from train station with slopes . Not difficult for us, but if your physical ability do not allow, call Uber around 4-6 euros. —There is no elevator , only stairs to 2nd floor. Ask for downstairs if you can’t handle luggage. There is only one room downstairs, with a small yard. It’s an extension attachment, so we heard the rain dancing on top, or imagine it was a symphony, it didn’t bother us. The owners knew it, we suggested build a V roof , instead of the current flat one. The environment is so convenient, 2 grocery stores almost next door, bus stops in front , many restaurants. 15 minutes walk to castle/palace, a must go. We like the place very much, a good offer for the money.

Las instalaciones deportivas del hotel son de primera, sin embargo los colchones son bastante duros, eso podría mejorar. El personal es amable, el SPA está bastante bien, la piscina de natación de 25 metros es exelente, el GYM es muy potente y el personal del Gym muy bueno y amable. El desayuno es mejorable, se puede decir que correcto pero no llega a bueno. Una noche falló el aire acondicionado y nos cambiaron de habitación en plena madrugada, eso no fue muy agradable, pero los empleados intentaron solucionar todo de la forma más amable posible, me dejó un sabor agridulce pues me levanté cansado pero sin poder estar molesto pues la gente intentó solucionar de forma muy amable, en general recomiendo el hotel y volvería a repetir a pesar de los defectos.
