Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport T2 Terminal Shimian Rest Cabin

I thought it would be inside the airport based on the photo, but no, so please check before you book. But don't get it wrong as they do have another location inside the airport. It just the price is different from what is displayed in the booking app. So with my original booking price for one night only allowed me to stay inside this cabin inside the airport for 6 hrs. I'm really thankful to the front desk lady who asks her boss and allows me to stay for the night, since I won't be able to go outside of the airport. The location inside the terminal 2, you don't really need booking, you can just walk there and ask and make your booking than. There is no AC, but the fan is more than enough. If you are a light sleeper, don't think that this cabin will help since there is still loud sound coming in.

For very early flights a good choice It's a bit difficult to find ( hint: between Gate 53 and McDonalds at the arrival Level!) Basicaly it's a airplane- businessclass seat with a Box arround. Light and electricity ist there ( mind: no European plug!). Unfortunately no aircondition. But at night it is "ok la". Place for a small luggage is under the stretched footrest. No water. No shower. Toilet ist the public one nearby. ( hint: the next one 100m in direktion to the elevators has a handicaped one where you can brush teeth and wash a bit.) There is also drinkimg water at the corner. Mc Do besides the bixes is 24/ 7. But personell at the morning was slow and not too friendly ;) Summary: for a short night before early flight with few/none luggage it is an option. Also for 1 or 2h rest.

Pros: Easily located right outside the arrival hall. Near to toilets and convenience store. Suitable for non-fussy travelers who needed a quick rest. Space was adequate for light travelers. Cons: Not very well ventilated, good thing they also provide a mini fan inside.

It is good if you are a light sleeper as there are many announcement in the airport, which makes sleeping a bit noisy. But it is good to for a quick nap, if you have a few hours to while away. if you have a large bag, it will be a problem too as there is only space underneath the armchair near the leg to place your bag. I’ve got a cabin size bag and if it’s in nicely.

This is a solid option if you have an overnight layover and an early flight the next morning. The biggest win is convenience—you’re already inside the airport, which completely removes transfer risk and morning stress. The recliner seat is decent for a short rest, and the capsule-style space is sufficient, especially with the dim lighting that helps you wind down. You can hear some airport announcements, but they’re faint and not disruptive—more white noise than wake-up call. Another plus: it’s located near an airport restroom with shower facilities, which is extremely practical before an early flight. No frills, but everything you actually need is within arm’s reach. Bottom line: If your objective is efficiency, rest, and proximity to your gate—not luxury—this place delivers exactly what it promises. Low hassle, high utility.
