Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach All Inclusive Resort - Couples Only

We had a great time. This Sandals like all Sandals is amazing. The people who work here are incredible. They worked so hard during the unpredictable weather of Hurricane Beryl to make everything perfect. Some of the workers I know by name who are awesome are the manager (Clifford), the bartenders (Francis, Clent, Remi, and Peter) the dive guide (Joker). The country singer was so great. He played for 2 hours non stop. The best tour is the boat tour just off the beach. Lyles Tours was the best. Lyle, Capt. Nash, and Johnny B good run a great boat. Johnny B was a tremendous tour guide. He was funny, patient, and very personable (RUM PUNCH!!!!!!!) Cocco on the beach was great to talk to and hang out with. He even saved a chair for my wife!! Just one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed!!!

We just spent a week at the Grande St. Lucian and it was fantastic! The resort is absolutely gorgeous and the people were wonderful. We were there during Hurricane Berle and the staff did an amazing job making sure the guests felt safe, ate and drank well, and had a good time during Beryl’s visit.

Overall, everything was amazing. The food is fantastic, the drinks are great, the staff is friendly. Definitely go to the pool bar and ask Peter to make you a Peter special. The Lover's Leap drink is also great (as is the hummingbird, the dirty banana, pretty much any drink is great)! Melissa was a guide on one of our tours, she was so friendly and fun. We did the Dune Buggy and Zipline tour which was SO FUN. The SNUBA trip was close by so it wasnt a long drive and it was super fun. The only complaint i had about any of the islandroute excursions was the Rum and Chocolate tour. The little sports bar in Anse La Raye called Valelse where we stopped for lunch... dont get me wrong, the food was delicious, the problem was... there was no toilet paper OR SOAP in the bathroom... which, to me, doesnt bode well for the hygiene of those preparing your food? And even though my husband and i got different dishes, we both had diarrhea afterward. I blame the pasta salad side dish because it SEEMS to be a thing in St Lucia that they dont refrigerate mayonnaise that CLEARLY SAYS refrigerate after opening. But back to the resort. The only piece of advice i have is bring a gnat/fruitfly trap. You know, those little plastic fake lookin apples you can buy to put in your fruit bowl that trap gnats? Bring them. I don't know who goes and ONLY orders room service for every meal? But they set their dishes on tables in the hallways which happen to be RIGHT NEXT TO our door and the staff only come around, it would seem, once or twice a day to pick them up. Which means all day or all night, fruit flies are buzzing around right outside our door and following us in even though its not even our dishes (because we didnt get room service). SO. I suggest bringing those so you dont have that same annoyance!

Must name a few great employees. At the Pub, Donald,Novon were fun and kept us entertained. The Club lounge, Miguel and Denzel check in were exceptional. Water activities, Everton and Boat captain derrick were very accommodating and made the experience so fun. Zion our cook at Kimotos was top notch. Our snorkel crew and others were the best..Nathan, Julie, fletcher, marton, Clevamtius and Percyl. What a wonderful resort. Beautiful and all employees were friendly, accommodating and treated us like we were the most important. Keep up the great work!! This was our first Sandels experience and will certainly not be our last. 5 stars.

I never write a review. I always try to find the good in any vacation. However, when its exceptional, I felt the need to say so. We traveled with another couple. We took regular rooms and loved our location and rooms were beautiful. After our hour 1/2 ride "which is no secret", we were starving and it was late. Our 1st encounter was meeting Sharlene the Poolside manager. She stayed late to make sure we ate even though the lunch restaurants was closing. She didn't rush us and she made sure we were completely taken care of. And she continued to show her greatness throughout our stay. Honestly I felt like VIPs. The staff at this resort of course along with the amazing food, beaches and service were the perfect combination for the best vacation. Mike the resorts General Managers presence was seen throughout the week. He is hands on and it shows because his crew had smiles for us everyday. He personally went above and beyond to ensure a great vacation. I always say in life, its the little things that make the difference. They are proof its true. I consider myself a "traveler". This is one resort you don't want to miss!!!!

We spent a week at Sandals Grande and could not have asked for a better experience. The grounds are beautiful, the food is great (only had 1 meal the entire time I wasn't impressed with), our room was above and beyond what we imagined (rondoval butler suite) but what really made it magical was the staff. Our butlers were Amos, Bailey, and Trancha. They were all so kind and went above and beyond with little and big touches. After an excursion that they knew was a long and dirty day, we arrived back to our room with a bubble bath drawn and decorated with flowers. Anything we needed or wanted and even surprises we didn't ask for were all delivered with smiles and friendly conversation. Otis, a bartender at the quaint bar tucked in the back, won me over with his care of the cats that roamed around. Zachary, another amazing bartender kept the espresso martinis flowing as well as wonderful conversation that was insightful and genuine. Remi at the beach bar was funny and greeted my husband by name even off duty. Ruben, a hibachi chef, had us rolling with laughter during our meal. Francine, a server at the pub, handled a small snafu (at no fault of their own, they literally got slammed with about 40 guests, a few of whom had overdone the drinking, in a 5 min period) with such kindness and concern even amongst the chaos. The nighttime entertainment was very good and I feel horrible that the only performers name I can remember is Sparky, but how could you forget the human dragon. The singers were all phenomenal and the dancers impressive. We caught the fire and water show as well as the Saturday night beach performance and regretted not making it a point to see more. I wish I could shout out every single person who was working there for their friendliness and good spirits. We had read some reviews where people criticized the staff and all I can assume is that you get what you give. A simple please and thank you or good morning go a long way. We definitely saw other guests being rude and demanding, but even then they were still met with smiles and prompt service. While on our vacation we did a few excursions. JJs speed boat took us around the island, to the volcano and sulfur springs mud baths, snorkeling and a lunch at a local restaurant. Be careful with the rum punch though. We also did an ATV tour through Anasi tours. Our driver to the tour was amazing and taught us a lot about life on St Lucia. The tour itself was incredible and we saw so much beautiful scenery and ate some of the best mangos of my life. The party nighttime cruise was an absolute blast and even had me dancing with my old bad knees ha. Renting jet skis was so much fun. One tip, venture outside of the gate and have a meal at the Tasty Parrot to eat delicious local food. We also met a lovely couple who have been to this resort over 20 times and after our stay we can see why. I don't know when but we definitely will be back again.
