Onar Patmos

This small hotel (6 villas altogether) is an absolute dream. The location is great , in a quiet area in front of a nice little beach with views of the opposite island and also with 2 good tavernas at a short drive or walk. The villa we stayed was great size , classic greek style, simple but efficient and well arranged. The private terrace meant that we could sit in the shade and enjoy a meal or a drink with wonderful sea views. There is a swimming pool that is surprising big and cool and well maintained as all the grounds are. The manager Aris is very helpful and always offering good local tips. He gave us fruits from the garden and generally was always available in the hotel. The lady who cleaned the rooms, Dimitra was equally wonderful, always with a smile and the level of cleanliness were amazing which is important these days. We would highly recommend this hotel and the Patmos island.

Great resort, very clean, quiet around, but only 10 minutes by car to the town of Skala. Pool and sun loungers. A few steps to the beach. I am here for the fourth time and I will probably come here again. I recommend it to all who value peace and quiet. If I could give 10 stars I would definitely give it.

We have been in Greece now for 3 weeks and the Onar Patmos and the island of Patmos itself have been our favorite stay so far. The stress just melts away as soon as you step onto the property. It has an amazing beach, view and salt water swimming pool. It’s perfect. You are only a short walk to a couple of excellent restaurants. The management and staff are also just outstanding. They greeted us upon our arrival and took good care of us during our stay! Thank you! My advice is to rent a car if you stay here, so you can see the beautiful island of Patmos and have flexibility for meals.

We were with Onar for a week. It was a wonderful time. The complex is very spacious, our apartment (Kastalia) perfect for three/four people with super sea view and private terrace. You can swim in the large pool or is directly in the sea. Also the staff on site is super nice. All in all it was a perfect stay. We will surely come again.

Onar is a wonderful boutique complex of very private apartments in one of the best spots in Patmos. The location is secluded but not hard to reach. The apartments are impeccably decorated and efficiently cleaned daily by Elena (nicest lady who also took care of our laundry). The pool is wonderful and nicely kept and the small beach across the street extremely convenient and lovely. While there were other guests in other houses during our stay, we almost always felt like we had the whole place for ourselves. The views of the Mediterranean, smells and sounds are a true feast for the senses. We traveled with our 3 year old and my elder parents and everybody was very comfortable and at ease. Wifi works great, the kitchens are well equipped and the overall feeling is that of staying at rustic yet elegant houses. Management was very responsive and extremely accommodating as we had to move our dates last minute and even offered us a credit to apply to extra days toward the end of our stay. I really cannot say enough good things of Onar, it is a special place on a special island and would love to go back one day if we are ever back in Patmos.

We visited in July 2022. The hotel is located on a very nice small bay. The swimming pool with sea water and the sea are amazing. The hotel is very quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. Definitely recommended, especially for couples!
