The Traveller's Rest
8.9 (102 valoración)

The Traveller's Rest ★★★

📍 The Traveller's Rest, Grasmere

"We used the travellers inn as we wanted to see the grisdale tarn and we needed to a room to stay after the sight. They allowed us to store our luggage at the inn as our check in was at 3pm. The rooms were clean and it overlooked a farm area with lots of sheep. The room had an aesthetic look and there was tea satchets we could have as well. The staff were kind and wonderful. The rooms had the britain charm you see in old english movies. If you love sheeps, kind people, good food and 80's british aesthetics- then this place is just for you. We loved our stay here."

The Daffodil Hotel & Spa ★★★★

📍 By The Lake, Keswick Road, Ambleside, Grasmere

"La ubicación es genial en los lagos y un hermoso lugar para tomar el fondo. El desayuno era bueno, pero nada especial. La habitación era un poco demasiado caliente y la cama no el comfiest, lo que le dejó un toque. For the higher-end price, you expect a little more from what’s meant to be a high-end hotel."

📍 Lake View Drive, Grasmere

"Beautiful, comfy, cosy, thoughtful. Not the cheapest place, but we'd highly recommend it. Unfortunately we missed the feeding of the badgers on the veranda at sunset - next time we'll try and arrive in time for this. The pub connected to the place has pretty good beer, too."

The Wordsworth Inn, Grasmere - the Inn Collection Group Hoteles en Grasmere

The Wordsworth Inn, Grasmere - the Inn Collection Group

"We were originally staying in the hotel next door and decided to stay another night in Grasmere but unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate us so on a whim we booked a double room with breakfast at the Wordsworth Hotel for £249 It’s in a fabulous location and from the outside looks very grand but upon our arrival it became apparent that it was anything but. It took us so long to find the reception from the car park, meandering through the dated hallways that I was beginning to feel like Jack Nicholson in the Shining. I wouldn’t have been surprised if I’d bumped into two little girls in blue dresses. The manager at the reception was nice enough , friendly and gave us the key to our room which was disappointing. It was small and had different bedside lamps. It wasn’t the cleanest, especially in the bathroom which had a cracked sink. The blinds were dirty and the heat in the room was overbearing. We managed to sort that out. We went out for the evening but wasn’t told that they lock the doors at a certain time , so we were locked out in the rain until the manager let us in. Had a terrible nights sleep, the bed was rock hard and I woke up with a bad back. We were told on arrival that breakfast stops at 11am but when we went to the dining area at 10.30am we were then told that breakfast that’s included with the room stops at 9.30am and we would have to pay, however the manager was helpful and waived that. My partner had the veggie breakfast (which wasn’t the best) whilst we sat under the glass conservatory. The gutters are blocked so the noise from the dripping water was annoying. I asked for corn flakes with soya milk and I was handed a bowl full of milk and a box of the cereal. The poor waiter looked embarrassed. The hotel has great potential. It needs a total refurbishment. Get rid of the red carpet! It is in a beautiful place but we won’t stay there again. We were so disappointed and it spoilt what was a wonderful visit to Grasmere"

Heidi's Grasmere Lodge ★★★★
"We stayed in room 1 in Heidi’s which was a large room with an excellent en suite. The room was very clean and well laid out with everything catered for that you could need. Outside was a large balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the centre of the village. No parking is provided but there is plenty of parking nearby if you get there early enough. We used the ringgo app to pay for parking which was really simple to use and we parked directly behind the lodge. The hearty breakfast was superb in the cafe below setting us up well for the day. Craig was a fantastic host and the staff were excellent all round with lots of advice and local knowledge whilst making our stay feel very homely. We would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely return. G&T"
