We enjoyed staying at this hotel with half board. Loved Seaview!!! It’s so nice! Breakfast was better than dinner I think. Swimming pool was quite big and clean. Air conditioning was not in public area so we loved our room with icy cold aircon.

I'll start with a quick summary. This is a beautiful hotel, great staff, stunning scenery. Now, if you're a fussy eater, like I always say, don't go to all inclusives then come on TA whining. Also, if you're one of those people who expects their hotels to be in mint condition, this isn't the place for you. We arrived in the evening, tired after a 23 hour journey. The gentleman on reception was very pleasant, showed us to our room and explained the basics. One thing he did say was, you can't reserve sunbeds, first come first served. This is fair enough, but we've been here 5 days and there has always been plenty of spare sunbeds, so just ignore that part. We got to our room, now it was rustic, authentic, but not in perfect condition. Clearly the hotel isn't brand new and is used. Not an issue to us, we were very happy. Ours is apparently a deluxe room, why I honestly have no idea, as I haven't been in any others. We had a large king sized bed and a small bed in the corner for pur daughter. There are cushions placed round the outside, technically making this also a settee. We got a bath and a separate shower with a regular head and a waterfall head. Temperature can be a bit temperamental, basically there isn't cold water, only hot or warm. Fine for adults, just be careful with kids. Also in the room are a mini bar, TV(almost all channels are in French), beautifully working aircon and a safe. Tea and coffee making facilities, which we never use anywhere we go. This is a hotel of only 64 rooms I believe, so the all inclusive buffets obviously have less selection than if you go to a massive complex. Not something that ever bothers us, even our fussy 8 year old daughter always finds something she likes. The staff are very attentive, nothing is too much trouble, I think they pride themselves on looking after guests and making stays as memorable and enjoyable as possible. Can't speak too much on drinks selection, as a teetotaller. Always water on hand, which is generally that cold, due to a small fridge at the bar. Put it in your mini fridge and it's much better. The wifi is sporadic, I already knew this and purchased a tourist sim in the airport, very easy and quick to do. It was 15 Euros for 200gb, which is ample for anybody. I had prepaid for mine from the UK, but to be honest, I don't think it made it that much quicker. There are 2 pools, which whilst unheated, are quite warm. Not sure if this is down to the gorgeous Mauritian climate, the fact the pools are quite shallow, or a combination. Either way, the warmest non-heated pools I have ever been in and I've been about a bit. One pool is 1.2m deep, the other 0.6m There is a small entertainment team, doing the usual stretching, aqua gym, a small show at 9pm which changes. Things like singers, Dj night, etc. Nothing special, but a little bit of something to do. Yesterday I went with them on their Waterfall Cascade, which is a trip to the Grand River South East Waterfall. This isn't a trip f

We stayed at the Laguna beach for 10 nights, highly recommend the hotel, lovely food great selection of fresh foods, the lady who makes the omelette is so lovely and friendly, entertainment staff are great especially kush who helped us a lot with recommendations of where to go. We hired a car for a week, this is definitely needed if you like to look around as taxis are quite expensive. Hotel clean and tidy. Overall we had a lovely time.

Just arrived and yes the hotel is basic but we never saw a modern one on the way here, this place reminds me of the Dominican Republic. Early impressions are that the staff are very friendly and accommodating but right now I’m now watching kids jumping off a concrete pillar into the adults only pool and alcoholic drinks are allowed in glasses around the pool so health and safety seems to have gone out of the window 😳

Second visit to this very small friendly hotel. Didn't disappoint. Remember it is only a 3.5 star resort and there are a few minor complaints, yes, the towels, both beach and bathroom are tired. But on the plus side, rooms and public areas are very clean, staff are lovely. Our room, (No. 123) and Bathroom always spotless. There are plenty of sunbeds and shades, we never had a problem finding one. We never waited to be served a drink, on all inclusive selection is limited, as are most hotels, but still plenty of choice. We joined Aqua Gym daily which was great fun. evening entertainment was local but okay. Food : There is only the one restaurant, this is Buffet style for Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and evening meal. It is NOT fine dining but there is always a fish and chicken choice with plenty of salads, rice, pasta etc. We enjoyed our meals. Tip: eat early. It's a shame they stopped outdoor dining however the doors and windows were always wide open in the restaurant (not air-conditioned). Other tips if travelling from the UK, English 3 pin plugs no need for an adapter. Rooms well appointed with hairdryer and mini bar ( 2 bottles of beer, 2 fanta, 2 cokes and 2 bottles of water daily) You will need to bring a bottle opener! Didn't get bitten by mosquitos. Finally, be aware, the Hotel is very rural. There are no Restaurants or Shops nearby you will need to book taxis if you want to leave the resort.

This resort claims to provide lots of free activities but when we went to the activities hut, the next boat trip to the island was fully booked because the boat can only take 12/trip and goes only 3 trips/week and the hotel accommodates so many wanting to go, and we were told that the kayaks and paddle boats could only be used within a tiny roped-off area. So the main activity is sitting around the pool. If you want to go on the boat trip, you will need to stay here for more than a week. The rooms and the dinners are only okay but the breakfast provided was good.

Laguna beach and spa hotel is most definitely not a 3 star hotel, I would give it a 2 at most. The best part of the hotel are the staff who are very friendly and keen to help. May be a tad too keen in the dining area , as soon as your plates clean they are right at your table like a limpet clearing it away. Better than the tables being left unattended so can’t grumble too much but just don’t leave your table unattended with your food on it to pop to the loo else you’ll come back to it gone and the table relaid for new diners . The food is extremely “SAMEY” and not that much of a variety. If you’re looking for carb heaven then you won’t be disappointed as it’s all rice, pasta and a form of potato. The puddings are all mainly a minutes square of cake with a blob of cream on and each day it will have a slight different flavour. 1600 every day they do pancakes which are lovely. The hotel itself looks like it is in desperate need of an update and lick of paint. It has a very tired look to it and although the rooms are cleaned daily with clean linen and towels, the rooms just have a general dirty feel about them. It is supposedly a private beach for the hotel, however the locals walk down and spend their time fishing off the promanade , so it makes it have a busy and noisy feel to it rather than having that private quiet appeal as advertised. The beach itself is not very big and has the appearance of being a manmade beach as feels very gritty as though it’s more builders sand from b&q ( other builders merchants are available) The sea at this part is not your crystal clear waters as I was expecting , for that you’ll need to take a short boat trip where you will find a beach and small market town. The hotel itself works on a cash only system so be sure to take plenty of their currency to pay for any excursions you want to make with them as they work on a cash only system. Trips are around 7500 for 2 people The swimming pool is lovely with the right temperature for cooling down. Being all inclusive the bar is handy being centred in the middle by the pool, restaurant and entertainment. Entertainment wise they provided a display of their local dance in the evenings around 1900 hours which was lovely to watch. However throughout the day they have music playing majority of the day, way too loud and plays continuously until 23:00 hours. It’s like they are wanting to give that Ibiza , Benidorm vibe which just doesn’t work with the small complex as the music area is too close to the accommodation so no chance of having an early night or being able to go to your room for a spot of peace and quiet if needed. There is a wooden hut set just between the pool and beach area where you can book some trips out. Unfortunately due to cyclone garison we were unable to do all the trips we had booked but highly recommend the 9 island trip by taxi , the rum distillery was great if you like your rum, get to taste 11 shots of rum . Also the island tour by boat sounds amazing to
