Hotel et restaurant Le Clos De La Prairie

This was our fourth overnight stay at Le Clos de la Prairie and we have never been disappointed. The Hotel is in a beautiful, rural setting and we always feel totally relaxed as soon as we arrive. Sandrine is a delightful and very helpful host and Sebastien's meals, served in the restaurant, are always exceptionally delicious and of a very high quality. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for a first night in France that is not far from the tunnel and ferries, this is the perfect spot to begin your holiday.

It's impossible to fault this place.Really comfortable modern rooms with beautiful views, fantastic food and a wonderful couple running it for whom nothing is too much trouble.Dinner and breakfast on the terrace was a fabulous experience.An exceptional place to stay only one hour from the Channel Tunnel.

We have been coming to the restaurant for nearly 20 years. It is always consistently good in every way, service, ambiance not to mention the delicious food. We have celebrated many happy occasions including 2 big birthday dos for 20 + people. Sebastian and Sandrine did us proud. Their attention to detail is wonderful with beautiful crockery, cutlery and glasses and a lovely friendly service. We love their terrace which has beautiful bucolic views. Cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough.

Rooms are modern, chic and comfortable. The patio and sun loungers outside are a plus particularly in summer. So good to be able to stay somewhere that is quiet and has an excellent restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome by Sandrine and were only sorry that we couldn’t stay longer to chill out and sample Sebastian’s wonderful food.

Our third overnight stay here, on the way back to England via Calais. The dinner and breakfast as always were truly exceptional and the hosts are lovely people. The rooms are spacious and modern, fitted out to a high standard and well heated. The hotel is set in very quiet rural surroundings. If you want to give yourselves a treat when travelling north or south then I doubt you will find better.

Mon épouse et moi avons séjourné 3 nuits dans ce charmant petit hôtel fin juillet dernier. Nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par la patronne Sandrine, qui nous a laissé le choix entre 2 chambres qui étaient disponibles afin de décider laquelle nous préférions (charmante attention de sa part). La chambre est très jolie, bien claire et donne sur une terrasse ouverte vers les prairies qui entourent l’hôtel, nous avions la vue sur 2 chevaux qui paissaient, c’était vraiment très agréable. La chambre possèdent tous les équipements nécessaires (salle de bain avec douche italienne, machine à café, télévision,…) Le restaurant est tenu par Sandrine en salle, aidée d’un étudiant très aimable et réactif, et son mari Sébastien en cuisine. La cuisine est vraiment très bonne et confectionnée avec de bons produits. Comme nous étions là 3 soirs, le chef nous a proposé des mets différents afin de varier nos repas, tout en demandant à chaque fois si la proposition qu’il nous faisait nous convenait. Sandrine et Sébastien sont vraiment à l’écoute de leurs clients, on se sent considéré quand on séjourne chez eux. Le petit-déjeuner est également très bon avec tout ce que l’on attend (viennoiserie, fromage, charcuterie, céréales, yaourt, brochettes de fruits frais,…) et en plus de bons œufs préparés à la minute par le chef en cuisine. Nous recommandons donc cet établissement sans hésitation, environnement, chambre, cuisine et surtout gentillesse et accueil des patrons, sont au rendez-vous pour passer un excellent séjour.
