Louvre Hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights this hotel is fantastic. Staff very helpful, breakfast great, rooms spotless and very well designed, pool area lovely and peaceful. Right in the centre of gouvia a few bars and lots of restaurants on your doorstep we particularly like Food for the Soul and BBQ Art. The beach is 5 minute walk away it is a pebble beach but absolutely beautiful 12euros for 2 beds and umbrella. We will definitely return.

Just back from 4 nights at Louvre hotel and what a great hotel it is. A small basic hotel but everything you need. Rooms are more than adequate with large wardrobe, mini fridge, dressing table, balcony, safe, air con. Pool area is very inviting and plenty of sun loungers. Buffet breakfast is excellent, continental with cereal, pastries, toast, cheese, meats, yogurt and fruit as well as hot, bacon, eggs, sausage, tea, coffee and juice. Hotel has a great atmosphere and staff very friendly, always happy to help and very clean everywhere. Plenty of bars and restaurants and 2 minutes from beach. Taxi rank within 3 minutes walk. Would definitely return

This is our second visit to Louvre Hotel, Gouvia so obviously we enjoyed our first visit!. The hotel is right in the middle of Gouvia and plenty choice of restaurants and bars close by, so you’d never be stuck for somewhere to eat or drink. Louvre is a small hotel with 25 rooms, the rooms are nicely decorated and have recently been refurbished, yes they are basic but has everything you need for a nice relaxing break. The air con is a must in the height of summer, hairdryer and small fridge (god send) also complimentary shower gel and hand wash is supplied and there are tea and coffee facilities. The shower room is small and there’s no shower screen so water soaks the floor when your showering but there is a drain, a suggestion for management would maybe a squeegee would be useful instead of a bath mat as it gets soaked! The rooms are serviced everyday and the staff do an amazing job at this aspect with clean towels daily and sheets changed often 👍🏼 The pool area although small we never found a problem getting a lounger anytime of the day, a nice quiet spot to relax and chill for the day, not much for young kids to do but the beach is just a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast is a selection of cereal, cold meat, cheese, tomatoes, yogurts and fruit etc, there are also hot too with bacon, sausage and eggs and will satisfy most people. Finally not to go unnoticed all the staff who are friendly and helpful which is real positive to Louvre. Would I come back here again? most definitely.

Very disappointing experience at this hotel.We were given a room with a tiny balcony (the only room with this size of balcony)that was only suitable for one person,it was impossible for us to sit out together,we were offered a chair from the dining area to use but after trying to move the table from the balcony we could not fit it through the patio door as only one half opened,I ended up perched on a stool inside the room as my husband sat on the balcony.After being told that they were fully booked they did eventually find us another room but it was obvious that they were not happy about moving us.The rooms are basic which we expected and are clean and comfortable and are located in a central position which is ideal.The pool area is good with plenty of sunbeds.Would I use this hotel again?No,but this is more to do with the receptionist's attitude as opposed to the hotels amenities.

We stayed here before a cruise and was impressed with the quality of the hotel considering it was a 3* hotel.We we’re so impressed we are considering booking again a mainland holiday.The rooms were spotlessly cleaned daily.Breakfast was,cereals,eggs,bacon,cheese,tomatoes,, yogurts,juices!There was about 20 sunbeds around the pond but only 10 were ever taken We would tell our family and friends that it’s basic BUT a very good basic xx

Have spent a lovely 5 nights at this hotel, rooms are spotlessly clean, pool area nice and plentiful breakfast. The hotel is a basic 3* in Greece so please do not expect a 5*. Excellent location for restaurants and shops and a 5 minute walk to the bus stop for Corfu town. What makes this hotel so enjoyable to stay at is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. On checking in we were allocated a ground floor room pool view with own little terrace. This would have been perfect if we were pool lovers but as we are not, We asked to change to a higher floor so the balcony would be more private, this was done no problem whatsoever, we were not made to feel like complainers and lady who allocated our 2nd room came with us to check that the room would be ok. Everyday we have observed the staff being incredibly friendly and helpful. Our last day today and as we have a late flight we have been allocated a 6pm check out room, perfect for our needs. We would recommend staying here.
