We stayed on family holiday in the last week of August 2025.The hotel was kept clean and tidy. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The bufet style restaurant had a variety of meals to choose from. Our room was clean,tidy and well equipped. I got complimentary voucher for a Creta Spa massage which i liked so much that i booked 2 more massages myself. The hotel is well situated and close to the center of the town and beautiful sandy beaches nearby. The evening entertainment was good but i would like to see some of traditional Greek evenings. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is good value for money. I would definitely come back to stay at the Gouves Bay hotel.

Goaves Bay — The staff are 4 star, but the hotel, amenities and offerings are 2 star.. Tour should not be advertising this hotel as 4 star, it’s simply misleading and verging on lying. The brochure photos are very very generous.. The rooms are sub standard and poorly maintained, even the glass patio doors are dirty!! The grounds could be spectacular but are poorly maintained and overgrown.. there is so much space away from the pool that is under utilised, more sun loungers / day beds at least would be good. Breakfast offerings were horrendous, it’s a good job that lunch and evening meal were better.. standard fair but good enough for a few days.. The hotel needs to move away from serving drinks in plastic cups!!! We are in 2025, very poor… The location of the hotel is fantastic great coastline and crystal clear sea ( take sea shoes though to get over the first 2m of rocky beach.. lovely area Goaves.. Like I say the staff are superb, reception bar and waiting on can’t do enough for you. It’s let down by maintenance and ground keeping. Air con in the rooms was basic, showers leaked, towels were thread bare!! but to be honest the owners / co of this hotel are simply not reinvesting funds. It could be 4 star but a lot of work is required All in all we had a great 4 day stay, any longer and I think it would have been much more of a struggle.

The staff was very friendly and the service is good. The food is good unless you are expecting high cuisine. The hotel room was good, ac is working perfectly. First we got a room that was not sea view (we didn't book sea view) since the room was dirty the staff gave us a new room with sea view. The hotel itself might need a bit of renovation work at some places. In relation to Price and outcome the hotel gets r stars for me. If you are looking for high end / luxury hotel this is not for you though.

Just returned from 10 days and was really disappointed with the hotel, definitely not 4 star i would say just a 3 star hotel and is in desperate need for a revamp. We visited as a family with our two boys and this hotel does not cater for children they is no day time entertainment suitable for children, also evening entertainment was not aimed at children and was the same every night apart from a Tuesday which is a local band but again not suitable for children. This hotel is advertised as a family hotel but certainly isn’t. The hotel room its self was flooded by the fridge on arrival which was sorted immediately but can do without after travelling alday. The bathrooms are mouldy and dirty and in need of renovations. We had bunk beds in our room and certainly aren’t safe or practical for young children our son slept in our bed and felt it wasn’t safe also having Air condition unit directly above which isn’t practical. Food was very basic and first hotel I’ve visited with no children section we had to eat on 4 occasions as felt it wasn’t catering for our children. All inclusive is only 11am till 11pm which I wasn’t aware of until arrival and also is a pet hotel so had dogs barking on numerous occasions. Pool area is only small and opens at 10am-6pm again not great with children as all they want to do is get in the pool first thing in a morning. The pool was thick green algae around the sides and on numerous occasions stained our children’s swimwear when climbing out the pool. The pool has a life guard who turned up late most days which meant the pool opened later then 10am and she did not communicate or acknowledge with any holiday makers and just sat on her phone most the time so felt was pointless her been their. We made the best of the holiday as a family but definitely would not recommend or be returning to the hotel which is such a shame as the island it’s self is lovely and did some amazing trips.
