Descripción del alojamiento
Set on more than two and a half acres, Nido Cabin provides a log cabin getaway just minutes from Hocking Hills attractions. Unplug or stay completely connected via 250 mbps WiFi. We hope your stay at Nido provides rest, relaxation, and a whole bunch of memories to bring home with you. Nido (pronounced like neat-o) is Spanish for "nest," and our aim is for you to land in comfort in this cozy cabin. BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS The cabin has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first-floor master bedroom with attached bathroom features a king bed, walk-in shower, and jetted tub. The second-floor rooms each feature a king and a twin. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo is located off a short hall between the second-floor rooms. The larger of the rooms also includes a small desk. OTHER INTERIOR AREAS Relax in the main room on the first floor around a wood-burning stone fireplace and 55" smart TV. Then head downstairs to the basement lounge to play an arcade-style Ms. Pac Man game or an assortment of board/card games you can enjoy around a wood-burning stove. A fully equipped kitchen offers your typical dishes and silverware (including kid-friendly options), stainless steel pots and pans, knife set, stove/oven, toaster oven/air fryer, crockpot, electric griddle, hand mixer, blender, mixing bowls, ice cream scoop, pizza cutter, pizza stone, corkscrew/bottle opener, can opener, and more. We leave cabinet space open for guests to store their own food/supplies. Sip a drink from the hot beverage bar in the kitchen that includes a 12-cup drip coffee maker and an electric kettle to make an assortment of provided hot beverage options, including ground coffee, tea bags, hot cocoa, and hot cider. We provide a coffee grinder for guests wanting to bring their own beans to grind. EXTERIOR Unwind on the porch swing or rocking chair on the covered front porch that runs the length of the cabin. Then fire up the five-burner propane grill on the back deck to enjoy a meal together around the 8-person deck table that overlooks the wooded back yard. Relax in the seven-foot hot tub on the back patio located just outside the walk-out basement. Set up a game of cornhole with the provided boards and bags or take a walk around the wooded grounds to check out the property's creek. CONVENIENT LOCATION Nido Cabin sits minutes from local spots to experience all Hocking Hills has to offer through hiking, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, zip lining, rappelling/rock climbing, visiting a winery, shopping for antiques, and more. With Kroger and Wal-Mart each less than 10 minutes away, our location allows you to experience a cabin getaway without losing the convenience of being able to quickly grab groceries or pick up something you need. Guest access: Plenty of parking is available on our gravel driveway. Four-wheel drive vehicles are preferred, especially in snowy weather. A guest key code for the main entry door will be provided prior to each guest's stay. This code will be active from the guests' check-in time at 4 p.m. until check-out time at 10 a.m. (We do give a 15-minute grace period for check-out time, but then the key code will be unusable.) GROUND RULES It isn't a game if it doesn't have some rules. Here are ours to help make sure you and all future guests have fun and enjoy your stay at our cabin: 1. Guest indemnifies the landlord and the property free and harmless against any liabilities like accidents, loss of property, injury, or death of any person. 2. Treat our property with respect. 3. No smoking (of any kind). 4. No unapproved guests/visitors. 5. No shooting/setting off/using any fireworks, firearms, or other weapons. (This means no hunting.) 6. No swimming or fishing in the koi pond. 7. Put only toilet paper and human waste down the toilet, absolutely nothing else (not even items labeled "flushable"). Do not pour grease down the drain. 8. Check in time is between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. Checkout time is 10 a.m. Please follow all checkout procedures. 9. Leave the property, including the grounds, as you found it. If you move something, put it back. If you bring something, take it with you. No confetti or glitter. 10. Follow all grill, hot tub, sauna, and pet guidelines. (See below.) 11. Only burn wood and fire starters in firepit/fireplace. Failure to comply with these rules may result in cancellation of your stay without refund, forfeiture of your security deposit, and/or additional fees. Nobody wants to deal with any of that, so please play by the rules and have fun! Grill Guidelines 1. Remove grill cover before use and hang on hook near porch roof. 2. Turn off all burners when not in use. 3. Clean grill after each use. 4. Allow grill to cool before replacing cover. 5. Cover grill. 6. Please let us know if you run out of propane. We have a backup tank available. Hot Tub Guidelines 1. Shower with soap and water before entering. (Excessive hot tub cleaning will result in a fine.) 2. Do not bring glass in or near the hot tub. (Plastic cups are available.) 3. Do not set temperature higher than 104° or lower than 90°. 4. Take care as you uncover/recover hot tub. Do not sit/stand on hot tub cover. 5. Cover hot tub when not in use. 6. Only guests ages 7 years and older may use the hot tub, and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. 7. Do not put anything in the hot tub except for yourselves and/or swimwear. This includes bubble bath, soap, bath bombs, shampoo, lotion, toys, cans, food, etc. 8. Elderly persons, pregnant women, and anyone with a health condition (including heart disease, diabetes, high/low blood pressure, etc.) should consult a physician before entering the hot tub. 9. Do not use hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any other medication that may cause drowsiness. 10. Limit soak to 15 minutes and cool off before reentering. 11. Water level MUST stay above jets. Please notify us immediately if water levels are getting low. Sauna Guidelines 1. Shower with soap and water before entering. 2. Not recommended for guests with cardiovascular or respiratory issues. 3. Exit immediately if uncomfortable, dizzy, or lightheaded. Staying too long in a heated area will cause your body to overheat. 4. Food, gum, beverages, glass, plastic, or metal items are prohibited. They will become burning hot to the touch. 5. No children under 16 years of age allowed. 6. Recommended use is a maximum of 10 minutes. 7. Excellent spring break trip! Our family took a spring break trip and the property was perfect for us. It was very clean. We appreciated that the drawers and kitchen cabinets were labeled. It was also very nice that everything we needed was provided- soap, shampoo, dishwasher pods, trash bags, toilet paper, towels, etc. The fire pit, deck, hot tub and game room were very much enjoyed by us and our kids. The owners were in touch with us right away and I have no doubt they’d be quick to respond if we had any issues. We definitely recommend the property and hope to come back some day.

Fun family spring break getaway We had a fantastic family spring break getaway! The location was ideal, with easy access to all the major attractions, restaurants, and hiking trails. The hot tub and massage chair were highlights of our stay, and we had an unexpectedly great time playing Ms. Pacman. Being pet-friendly was definitely a bonus that added to our enjoyment.
