The pictures of this hotel are at least a decade old. Also, I should have noticed, but it's no where near Stephen's Pass, which is at least 40 miles further east. The room is way overpriced. Maybe it would be more acceptable if it was half the price, around $70; but it's not. OK/Good - The beds were OK, the sheets and pillowcases clean and bed made. Shower was OK, though very small - same size as the shower stall on the MV Kennicott Alaska ferry. NO hooks in room or bathroom. Only one bar for all the towels. There were nails in the post in the bedroom that served as "hooks" for hanging clothes. There was a full sized refrigerator in one corner, along with microwave and coffee pot and coffee but no cups for hot coffee. Clearly the folks staying in room closest to us were long-term renters. Were very nice, the man introduced himself right away as we opened our room, invited us to let him know if any questions or concerns. Outside our room door was chairs and 2 kids bicycles chained up and empty beer cans. When we came back from dinner, they were playing music and asked if it was OK and if we wanted to hear anything. It was Fourth of July weekend, so they set off some firecrackers - we asked they not do it near our vehicles. And they stopped and got quiet by sunset, which was around 10PM. All in all, they were great, respectful and asked for our input and changed accordingly. We just were NOT expecting long term residents in the room near us; that's not a typical hotel thing. If I had been with my wife instead of my riding buddy, we would NOT have stayed there. We rated it as poor, not terrible because the bed was OK and the sheets and pillowcases and towels were clean and adequate.
