Quire Court Apartment

We booked this apartment for a 2 night break so that we could attend a rugby match at Kingsholm Stadium. Unfortunately, we had a very unsatisfactory stay, for a number of reasons. When we arrived the apartment had been double booked, and the alternative was not as we required, having 2 double rooms rather than the double and twin we'd booked. There was someone's dressing gown hanging in one of the rooms (despite deep cleaning?), and the apartment was very cold for several hours after we arrived, as it had presumably not been heated for some time. On both nights we were disturbed throughout the evening and overnight until approximately 5.00 am by tenants of 2 other apartments, who were excessively noisy. There were other issues but these were the most significant. The host was singularly unhelpful when we complained, and eventually offered a grudging apology and said that the 'loud' tenants had been banned from the property - which didn't help us at all. I was very disappointed that we weren't offered any recompense, as our quite expensive weekend had been completely ruined. We won't be staying here again.

Very disappointing stay for us for several reasons. Not really worth listing the problems but basically an insecure place. Appears impressive with all its safety measures but these are not what they seem. Our front door never locked all weekend. Reported on arrival but nothing was done. Had to leave the property daily and anyone could push the front door open. Double bedroom is tiny with marked cheap furnishings. Only one bedside table. The apartment was clean but the information booklet needs updating. No supermarket very close by and no instructions re how to get power to the tumble drier. All in all a big disappointment

We spent a week in Quire Court Apartments and enjoyed it very much. The apartments are centrally located in Gloucester, just a short walk from the Cathedral and town center. The apartment was clean and nice and had everything we needed. There is no viable parking option on site, but we were able to pay for a week of parking at the train station, a 10 minute walk away. We will stay at Quire Court on our next trip to Gloucester.
