Eccles Hotel and Spa

My partner and I had the most wonderful time in the Eccles Hotel. The staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable with lovely views of the bay out front. The Garnish restaurant onsite is sublime. The food is amazing and the Head Chef Eddie Atwell deserves a Michelin Star for the flavours he and his team produce from locally sourced ingredients. The lobby has the most comfortable seats to sit,chat and observe the passing world. We can't wait to return and try the tasting menu. A truly relaxing two days.

Stayed on 19th September. Staff are friendly and professional. The food was exceptionally delicious and plenty of it. There are lots of photos of previous guests from bygone era’s depicting the history of the hotel. We would highly recommend a stay at Eccles and we are looking forward to our next in November.

A destination paradise oasis with an old world charm nestled on Bantry Bay by the Italian gardens often overlooked because it thresholds The Kingdom. Well worth considering as a life experience niche location for the most important life events. The hotel is period well refurbished era yet modern. Hospitality at its finest, the staff are friendly, courteous and discerning and the kitchen is on a level, rarely attained by award carriers. This is a gem that compares with the best in Europe, leave reality and bathe in a Celtic transcendence of time. For those who allow the magic, wonder and healing Atlantic breezes, the Eccles provides life long memories for souls open to treasured memories. Treat yourself to this gem in the depths of West Cork.

Mary, Mags, Gráinne, and Sheila made us feel like we were visiting family at the Eccles. Funny, gracious and generous of spirit they made sure we felt doted on and well taken care of. These lovely ladies are embodiment of the generosity and spirit of Ireland that we love so much. We'll be back to see you!

Planning a wedding in Ireland from Canada added some more logistical challenges for us. Despite this, we knew we were in the best of hands when we made contact with Mags and the team in the Eccles. Communication was superb throughout. Despite the time difference between Ireland and Canada, we were able to communicate seamlessly with the team from start to finish. We chose the Eccles hotel for our wedding for a few reasons. The Eccles is a hotel with such beautiful history, beautiful views, beautiful food and as we came to find out, beautiful staff. Every member of the Eccles team went above and beyond to look after us and were all so lovely and professional. The food was delicious with mouth watering options for our gluten free guests. (I most certainly will be back for that gluten free fruit crumble alone) We cannot thank all the team enough for making our wedding day so special. Mary and Peter

We got married in the wonderful Eccles hotel on Friday 1st November 2024. From the moment we walked into the reception area 1 year previous, we knew it was the hotel for us and our big day. The fantastic service we received from every member of the staff began there and continued to the end. The team really did make us feel special and made the whole process so easy and relaxed. We are most grateful to have had Mags Donovan Daly as the co-ordinator. Her work ethic is unparalleled and this was matched with a level of care that could be described as motherly and an attention to detail that would be continuously seen. The food that we first tried at the tasting day gave us one thing to think about in that there were so many delicious options. We really enjoyed the food on the day and have received so many compliments on it from guests since the big day. The bridal suite needs to be seen to be appreciated. There are no words. With the hotel being the oldest purpose built in all of Ireland, there is a real sense of character. While there is that vintage feel to everything, there is no compromise on the fresh and clean feel throughout. The reception area was bright and sociable and the wedding room itself, which we used for both the ceremony and the meal, was the most beautiful. The team did an excellent job decorating it for the ceremony and the backdrop of the bay was stunning. After the ceremony, the room was flipped ready for the main meal in no time and everything continued to run smoothly. We can't imagine a better day, we are so grateful for Mags, the entire team and the hotel itself. We would highly recommend this venue and team if you are considering for your wedding day.
