Dar Tal-Kaptan Boutique Maison

I had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! The hosts were so accessible, welcoming, and truly hospitable, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. My studio penthouse was absolutely stunning. It had two different ways to access it, one of which was almost completely private with a separate entrance to the exterior of the property; handy if returning back late. There was access to the property's large garden, pool and also to the communal living spaces. The room also had access to both a large communal terrace and an equally spacious private terrace, each offering sweeping views of the gorgeous Gozitan countryside. The room itself was well-lit, with plenty of natural light pouring in through the large windows, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail in the room was amazing, with beautiful oriental decor that added a unique touch. The rest of the house and common areas were equally charming, decorated with rustic and homely accents that made it feel cozy and inviting. The mini fridge in the room was well stocked with local delicacies, including cheeselets, and essentials. Also, the room was stocked with plenty of snacks and breakfast options. I had a lovely breakfast on the private terrace while enjoying the views. However, what really stood out was the hospitality of the hosts. They were so accommodating, friendly, and very happy to chat, making the whole experience feel like staying with friends. I can't recommend this place enough, and I will definitely be back!

Nondescript street, but take a few steps down and you enter a bright and unexpected world. Etienne welcomed me with a drink and a look around. The myriad of rooms all defy typical shapes and decor. This is place that may have magically been lifted from Morocco and dropped into the verdant rolling hills of Gozo. I couldn’t stop grinning as I found my way from space to space. Each room more comfortable, welcoming, and delighting to the eye and the mind than the last.
