Stayed here for a couple of nights during a road trip. I’ve been through town several times and like to stay where I can walk to the battlefield. Colton is located in a great spot. The place is aged, true but they have put in some work to keeping it updated at lease a little. The thing I would normally worry about most, the bed, was actually the best. Was clean and soft. The mattress was probably a bit old but I didn’t feel unclean at all. Bathroom is simple but it does what you need. People were in the pool so that seems to be a draw, although I didn’t try it. I can’t really fault this motel for much, it’s a value motel in a great location. If you need a place to crash in town it’s a good pick. Only thing that was odd was that there seemed to be people living there. Not 100% sure but that was at least the vibe.

Room was dirty, mirror was covered with finger prints, air conditioner had dust hanging from it and the power cord. Sheets on one of the beds had some type of stains on them. Bathroom WAS DISGUSTING!!!! Wrong toilet seat on toilet, the seat was also broken, no hot water. I went to Walmart and purchased cleanser, rubber gloves and paper towels to scrub the tub that looked like it had never been cleaned. 15 years ago this motel was always well maintained. Went up on Rt 30 to Presidents Inn and Suites payed same price as Colton for a bigger, clean room.

My husband and I have stayed at the Colton a few times and the staff are always attentive to anything we need. Kaitlyn is always welcoming despite the fact our dog Gigi is a booger! The newly updated rooms have comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The pool is a plus. The only thing they don't have is a snack machine however there is a store across the road. They are conveniently located by several restaurants and shops in walking distance. We will definitely be back soon.

This us the first time I have ever given a negative review as it would be the worst motel ever. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would, as it was so bad. The carpet was wet, dirty and smelly so the room had a terrible odor. The motel was full so there was nowhere for us to go. As I had to wash my blackened feet from the disgusting carpet several times, I then resorted to wearing shoes around the room. The toilet handle was broken and ran until you jiggled it. The window didn't close. The internet didn't work. When I complained to the staff, I was told in writing by the owner I would be reimbursed, but after several follow ups, nothing happened. Do not stay here.

It was clean and cheap. People are 24/7 smoking cigs and making the place feel like you are wearing an ashtray. Nobody was at the front desk when I went to ask a question and there were no shortages of drifters hanging around the front door. Very convenient to being able to walk to all the shops, and besides hearing everyone talking through the walls it could have been worse I guess?! The motel was o.k. it was the people surrounding the rooms that made it feel unsafe and rundown.

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Soap scum all over tub. Walnuts on the floor in room. People hanging out in front of hotel till very late. When we addressed the concerns with them, they fixed nothing. Changed one pillow that was very dirty and nothing else. Cheap, but disgusting.

The rooms were in awful condition. It's a shame because it is in an excellent location. The first room stunk like sewage. Management was kind enough to move us to a different room. The rooms need to be gutted and completely redone. At the very least, the curtains and bedspreads should be replaced and the carpets deep cleaned. On the plus side, I didn't see any bugs in my room. I thoroughly inspected my bed because I was seriously considering sleeping in my car. We stayed at the Colton because we went with a group and the rest of the group had already booked rooms there. I don't recommend staying there unless renovations/updates are made.

Could use better customer service skills. I called about reservation. The one girl was alright to talk to but there’s this one guy was piss poor upon check out. He had the tv blaring to where it’s practically impossible to talk to and hear and wanted a receipt for my stay which I didn’t get one. And was going to book for another trip but couldn’t because of what was mentioned before. And tried again today and said a different price from what was said online price was $30 cheaper than when I called then I called to see if it went through and seemed annoyed that I called to see if it went through because I don’t use online booking to often. I don’t know what his name is but seems like an older guy And I wish there was a microwave so I don’t have to eat out all the time.

The location is perfect, in the center of attractions. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and the rooms were clean. A beautiful view of the national cemetery, we will be back for Remembrance Day.
