Quinta do Bosque Douro

Beautiful surrounding and very friendly staff. A hidden gem definitely worth a visit when travelling in Douro valley. The rooms and the whole house is super clean, atmosphere is perfect and they make superb breakfast and daily changing dinners. One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.

Christiano and his team thought of everything. We had the suite for the week. The Super-King bed is the best we've ever slept on. The evening meals were superb and the views to die for. They arranged for us to visit local Quinta do Pacheta and to have lunch there, well worth it. We look forward to returning soon.

We stayed here last year and thought that was the nicest establishment in which we have ever stayed. We were so impressed then that we decided to book again this year. If anything, we were even more impressed by Christiano and his team. Our (already high) expectations were once more exceeded. Their hospitality is second to none. Make a stay at the Quinta do Bosque the highlight of your trip to the Douro Valley.

We had the best time in Quinta Do Bosque. We stayed 3 nights and Christiano the owner and Maria spoiled us. They catered to all of our needs. The place is immaculate , relaxing and is perfectly situated with a spectacular view. It feels like a slice of paradise. We were sorry to leave.

This location is incredible! This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Also the food was delicious, really exceptionally good. This place is highly recommended for everyone. All thanks to the fantastic host, Cristiano! You were amazing.

What a lovely place! There are almost no words to describe the experience we had: from the room (wauw so many nice attentions) to the views, to the so friendly staff ( they bring you drinks at the pool), the nice food (30 euro for a menu), the good wine (bottles of max15 euro), the pool area, the cleaness of the place, the breakfast… We were sad we had to leave

Quinta do Bosque is an exceptional hotel in every respect. This was our second visit and we were as impressed the second time as the first, perhaps even more so. Christiano (and Maria) are first class hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are beautiful, (we had a suite, but all the rooms are great), with first class attention to detail in every respect. The breakfasts offer good choice and also the snacks available through the day are well thought out and presented. There is also a set evening meal available if required and is excellent value for three courses of local good food. The wine, made by the local cooperative, with grapes from Christianos vines, compliments the meal well. Overall Is there better value anywhere - I doubt it. The pool, the loungers and the view make for a very relaxing day. If you want to go out to explore the Duoro, this is a great base. There are lots of wine/port tasting venues nearby. We took a train from Regua to Pocinho (1.5 hours each way), which gives great views of the Duoro and is only around 13 euros return or 6 if over 65. It sounds a long time, but really was a good trip. (nb there is nothing at Pocinho - get straight back on the train and if you wanted somewhere to stop and eat, try Tua or Pinhao, and get the next train back). D&Y

Wow! Where to begin.....from arrival to departure, we couldn't fault this accommodation. Clearly, there is love and passion shown by Christiano and his team. We had the most relaxing stay, with incredible wine, food and service. Its not often I write reviews, but I just had to. Perfect! Thank you for the memories!

During our short stay at Quinta Do Bosque, the service we received from Maria, Cristiano and the team surpassed any expectations we had (even despite the amazing reviews) It must be difficult for any hotel to live up to so many good reviews, but if we could have given 6 stars, we would! As a couple that like to explore new places that we visit, it felt unusual not wanting to leave at any point, but we really had everything we needed! The pool and rooms are fantastic, but the biggest (and best) surprise we got, was the quality of the food (Breakfast, Lunch and Tea). Great value yet it feels like fine dining! We will be recommending Quinta Do Bosque to family and friends and will hopefully be able to visit again soon! Thanks again to all the team!
