BreakX Hotel Penang

Clean and big room, we booked 7 rooms for family trip, however water pressure is small for few rooms. Found stain on bed sheet from one of the rooms, but manage to change the room the next day. Even there is water dispenser provided on every floor but it is without HOT WATER.

The hotel is spacious and sparkling clean. Well equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities, cafe and swimming pool is great too! Will definitely come back again.

I decided to book this hotel based on the many positive online reviews and chose to stay here with my family. However, the actual experience did not meet our expectations. Firstly, the hotel was quite difficult to locate. There is no lobby on the ground floor, and the entrance area is dimly lit, which made finding the check-in point challenging. Guests are required to go up to the 9th floor to check in. Upon arrival, the check-in process was inconvenient. The staff initially gave us two access cards that could not be used to reach our assigned floor. I had to return to the 9th floor to resolve the issue. Although the staff was helpful, the same problem occurred again when the card failed to open the room door, requiring yet another trip back to the reception. It was unclear whether the issue stemmed from a system error or poor card functionality, but the whole process was tiring and unnecessarily time-consuming. The room itself was spacious, which we appreciated, but it was not well cleaned, there was a significant amount of dust throughout. Additionally, the toilet bowl could not be flushed. When we called the front desk for assistance, a staff member came with a mop to unclog it. This raised hygiene concerns, as we were unsure whether the same mop would be used again to clean the floor. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay.

Brand new hotel just opened in 2025. Very spacious with 2 queen beds and amenities are pretty equipped with toothbrush and shower cap. The pillow is too high and dense and not very suitable for neck. Other than that, this hotel is highly recommended due to location, price and convenience.

I had pleasant stay at Break X Hotel. The room are new and very clean, and the staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was great, well maintained and perfect place to relax. However, the pillow was too high and uncomfortable. It would be better if the hotel could offer different types of pillow to suit guests preferences. The food options were quite limited, possibly because the hotel is still new, hopefully this will improve over time. Another points is that the checkout time is quite early 11AM. Most hotels ussually allow checkout at 12pm, so a later checkout would be more convenient for guest. All in all, it was enjoyable stay for my weekend.

The hotel actually not bad with the price, room is big, but water pressure is small. Overall is acceptable.
