Our regular hotel whenever we visit Penang. Hotel is clean and just beside New Lane Night Market (except Wednesday). The only downside is the swimming pool comes with lots of crows and pigeons. Hope the hotel management can set up some netting or so to prevent the birds from coming to the pool. Anyway thanks everyone. ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

While hotel it had its charms, it also showed its age. Let's start with the positives – the location is truly great, offering stunning views of the sea and easy access to Gurney Paragon and Plaza Malls. The service, too, was superb. The staff were friendly, attentive to ensure my stay was comfortable. However, the interior design of the hotel is very dated. While this might not be a deal-breaker for everyone, it's worth noting that the aesthetic feels somewhat tired. On the other hand, I was impressed by the spotless cleanliness of the room. Despite the dated decor, the housekeeping team did an excellent job of keeping everything tidy and hygienic. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay at the Gurney Bay Hotel. While it might not be the most modern or stylish option, its strengths in location and service make it a solid choice for those looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Penang. If you're looking for a hotel with a more modern aesthetic, you might want to consider other options. However, if you prioritize location and service, the Gurney Bay Hotel is definitely worth considering.

Had a wonderful experience yet again at Ascott. We'll appointed rooms, lovely infinity pool and great accessibility make this a good choice. Above and beyond everything else, the service from Mr Yau was immaculate. Felt like a home away from home. Thank you Mr Yau!

The most premium hotel i ever experienced in Penang. No regret for the view from 29th floor. Spacious room size with living room. Bathroom size is impressive with incredible sea view

Habiendo permanecido en JEN Penang en más de tres ocasiones, puedo decir con confianza que mis experiencias han sido constantemente satisfactorias, ganando un sólido ranking 4-star en este hotel. El personal es siempre cortés y profesional, garantizando una entrada y una respuesta rápida a cualquier solicitud. Su atención a los detalles hace que cada visita se sienta personalizada. Las habitaciones son espaciosas, limpias y con el cuidado de diseñarlas con modernas instalaciones. Aunque el decoro se dirige hacia un estilo clásico, sigue sin tiempo y acorazado. La cena en el salón del club del hotel siempre ha sido un placer, ofreciendo un menú diverso que se ocupa de diversos sabores, se presenta con su amplia selección y ingredientes frescos. La ubicación del hotel es también un plus, convenientemente situado cerca de las principales atracciones y los enlaces de transporte.

The good: No deposit upon checking in, check in and out was a breeze, parking provided, the room carpet is clean and centralised aircond cools the room very quickly, the bed and bedding is comfy, cleanliness is tiptop, there's a pool and gym that's nice, and the TV channels were decent The bad: Did not validate my car plate and upon driving out, i was charged rm60+ for overnight parking. this was sorted out very quickly but was a hassle, the entrance to room from the parking lot is weird and not disabled friendly. Overall, i had a good rest at st giles wembley at a decent price. Joined the membership and got a nice cup of coffee at the lobby. I got a room near the lift, so there were noises outside thus the soundproofing is not very good. But felt safe and the clean room feels good. A solid 4 out of 5, could have been better if it came with breakfast minus the hiccup at parking fees.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. To our surprise, the minibar included a birthday cake, as I had mentioned online that we were staying to celebrate my husband’s birthday. This thoughtful gesture truly touched us. Additionally, the hotel provided complimentary snacks and soft drinks, which were a lovely bonus. We chose this hotel for its convenience, as it allowed our two children to rest easily after getting tired from exploring the mall. It turned out to be exactly as we hoped—super convenient. The hotel is also close to a famous food street, but unfortunately, we couldn’t visit due to the rain. Instead, we dined at one of the many restaurant options within the mall. The breakfast the next morning was abundant and delicious, and since our two kids are under five, they enjoyed complimentary breakfast as well. We have no regrets about choosing this hotel. La ubicación es buena, el servicio es bueno y la ubicación es buena. Mi amigo se había sentido decepcionado con Penang antes, pero esto es una sorpresa. Muy recomendable, la piscina está afuera en el último piso y se ve el mar, que es muy bonito. También podemos ver el mar desde nuestra habitación, lo cual es un aprobado.

Very clean room and bathroom with beautiful shower stall and free (non-alcoholic) minibar. Drawbacks ate that the hotel facilities are not available or maintained - The swimming pool is under renovation and the gym toilet (female) cubicle cannot be locked...the entire lock set has fallen off from the door. The hotel is unbeatable for location and the staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet though wide in variety is not of high standard except for freshly cooked food like the egg & noodle station. The coffee is almost undrinkable. Spend RM5 at McDonald's for better coffee.
