Vaya Sölden

The hotel appears to be completely new, with spacious rooms and good sound insulation. It’s about a 7-minute walk to the Giggiogh elevator, and ski shops are scattered all around. The restaurant is excellent, the ski room is very spacious, and the steam bath receives top marks. The entire hotel is very tidy. However, one major drawback must be mentioned regarding the rooms that face the street: they tend to get hot, so it’s necessary to sleep with the door wide open. This means that when the church bells start ringing at 6:00 AM, there’s hardly any sleep left for the day.

I have never returned from a week’s holiday feeling as sleep deprived as I did after a week at Vaya, Solden. The only room available when we booked was a standard room, number 102. Other reviewers have commented on how small the standard rooms are and the observation that they are ‘Hong King businessman small’ is accurate. There are no hooks whatsoever in the room which is an oversight in a skiing hotel. The room was also very hot meaning that we had to keep the balcony door open to cool it down at all times, including at night. Unfortunately, this room is also above the night entrance meaning that every time late night revellers returned to the hotel we were woken up. There were many groups of men staying at the hotel (I don’t think it’s a coincidence that there are numerous table dancing bars in town) and they were not quiet when returning. This includes the person who banged incessantly on the door at 4:45am, presumably having lost both his key card and his phone and unable to wake his friends any other way. However, the bathroom was a decent size and the spa was very nice. The staff at the hotel work very hard and do a great job. In particular, the kitchen staff are outstanding as the evening meals were of a very high standard, imaginatively planned, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant is rather chaotic and it would appear that there are insufficient staff. It would help to have dedicated bar staff and dedicated waiting staff as we felt that the restaurant staff were overworked. On two occasions we were overcharged for wine. There is really no lounge or bar area in which to relax, with just a handful of chairs around the fire (6/8 people probably) and a couple of high bar tables. There appears to be a lack of managerial oversight and I would single out the collection of beer and schnapps bottles and glasses that remained outside the ski and night entrance for 3 days until we pointed it out, and also the broken wine glass outside the main entrance that remained there for the full week. We would certainly not book a standard room again and the only way that we would consider a return visit would be with guarantees of a room on a higher floor at the opposite end to the night entrance.

Коллеги хочу поделиться с вами своим опытом! Была на уикенде в Австрии, в Зельдене, где открыла лыжный сезон. Остановились на две ночи в отеле VAYA Sölden с полупансионом: завтраки – шведский стол, ужины по меню, с разнообразием блюд каждый вечер. В отеле есть спа-зона с сухой сауной и аромасауной, доступная с 14:00 до 21:00. До подъемника всего 3 минуты пешком, а катание на леднике начинается с 9:00 и длится до 16:30. Ски-пасс стоит 58 евро для взрослых и 38 евро для детей в день. Поскольку лыжный сезон еще полностью открыт, прокат лыж только начинает работу. Нам прокат на двоих взрослых и одного ребенка стоил 125 евро в день. Автобус к ледникам ходит дважды в день утром и возвращается в 16:30 после закрытия трасс. После выселения администрация отеля сделала нам отличный подарок – предоставила Sölden Summer Card, действующую до 20 октября. Мы бесплатно посетили спа-центр Aqua Dome на 3 часа и недалеко от музея Агента 007. Sölden – это не только лыжи, но и настоящий отдых для души!

Tolles Hotel mit ausgezeichneten Essen und Service, Frühstück und Abendessen (4 Gänge) einfach nur genial (wir hatten HP); die Bar ist auch sehr gemütlich mit einem super netten Service, wir hatten hier einen schönen Kurzurlaub

Wir haben eine Nacht im VAYA verbracht. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig,geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber.Sogar ein großer Balkon war dabei. Das Frühstück konnte durch seine große Auswahl überzeugen und hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Einzig das Abendessen à la carte,konnte uns nicht wirklich überzeugen,das Fleisch hatte leider keine gute Qualität,so dass wir den Preis nicht gerechtfertigt fanden.

Für ein **** Stern Hotel haben wir uns aufjedenfall etwas besseres erwartet. Leider ist unser Zimmer genau oberhalb der Küche, das heißt man hat abends dauernd den Geruch von Essen im Zimmer und leider schauen wir von unserem Balkon nicht auf die Berge sondern direkt auf eine andere Unterkunft (nicht erholungsreich) Die Türen sind auch sehr hellhörig… und leider fehlt im Wellnessbereich ein Massagebereich oder ein kleiner Pool… Frühstück gut, nur wir hatten auch schon besseres bzw. qualitativ hochwertiges (+mehr regionales) in anderen Hotels gespeist. Falls wir nächstes Mal wieder nach Sölden kommen, werden wir woanders einchecken. Für uns stimmt leider das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht.
