Hotel Seespitz Seefeld Superior - Adults & Residents Only

After the surprise of the view from my 'lake view' nroom, everything was wonderful. (Ignoring the faxt it takes 45 mins to walk around the lake, I had visions of a HUGE lake with passenger boats!) My room was very spacious and comfortable.the balcony was not very deèp as it is typical chalet style but very nice to sit out on during the day. Comfortable chairs are provided. The food was delicious. Service was organised. As part of a group we reserved our table for the whole holiday. The dinner menu was on the table from late the previous night and choices were ticked for collection at breakfast. We were all served at the same time. The hotel has a fantastic location. A few minutes walk from the small town, much of which is pedestrianised. I didn't use the spa or pool but others enjoyed them. Staff were all friendly in a spontaneous manner - not formal or officious. Lots of info. I left my mobile in a pharmacy while out walking and in tiredness left it behind. The lively man on reception called the shop and dealt with it for me - thankfully. Lots to see and do. Good transport. A special tourist card was issued to each guest with accom details and a variety of activities were free to holders. I tried 'Forest Bathing'. Good opportunity to try something new. Lots of other more mainstream things to do. I hope to go back. Thank you all at Seespitz.

We have just returned from our holiday to Austria where we stayed at the Seespitz Hotel Seefeld. Not only was our delayed arrival a 2am Sunday morning but any other queries we had were sorted out by the helpful and very efficient and friendly hotel staff. The spa facilities were immaculately kept and were very relaxing to be in. The hotel is very suitable for getting into town, reaching the local bus station and train station or for just taking a relaxed walk around the lake. But most of all the hotel is a pleasure to be in at any time of the day and no matter what the weather; from its sun terraces to its heated pool. the Seespitz is an hotel we are booking again. Much has been said in praise of this hotel and I'm not about to change that. It is one of the most efficiently run 4* hotels I have stayed in and the staff are well trained to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable stay. They were particularly helpful with my gluten free diet and the service in the restaurant was first class. Special mention needs to be make of Micheal, who I think should be Employee of the Year, for his attentiveness, friendliness but lack of stuffiness. The recently built (18 month) spa extension, which is large, attractive and thoughtfully planned, leads on to a toasty outside swimming pool with views of the lake beyond. A great place to spend time particularly on a gloomy rainy day. Many great walks right from the doorstep. Well recommended.

Just returned from our second visit to Seefeld and the Seespitz. If anything it has improved on 2 years ago. Under a new General Manager every member of staff really believes in customer service. He made a point of speaking to every guest daily and this he has passed on to every member of staff. The facilities are still superb, food is still outstanding even though when presented with the menu you look and think do those flavours really go together and they do. I would never dream of ordering Semolina soup yet when it came it was delicious. The leisure facilities are brilliant if you just want to relax. The pool is so warm it doesn't matter the time of day or the weather. This hotel really makes your holiday and yet again we did not want to come home. Thanks for another 14 days of pleasure.

Just returned from a week at this Hotel, only possible criticism could be that it was not long enough! It is situated right on the shore of the lake and looking out from our balcony, before us was one of the most idyllic views possible with lake, forest, and distant snow capped mountains. The service is impeccable from the maid who made the room spotless, to the waiters at mealtimes, bar staff, reception, and senior staff, who are always in attendance. Many of the hotels I have been to could learn a thing or two from this one. The 6 course gala dinner was absolutely stunning and will be remembered for a long time. Breakfast had everything you could ask for and more, dinner was varied with buffet starter (tons of choice), soup, choice of mains, choice of sweet, and then some very interesting local cheeses. Wine list is extensive, maybe a little on the pricy side perhaps, but try the Blaufrankisch varieties, better than the more common Zweigelt, we thought. This is Austria so don't be surprised if veal turns up more than once on the menu, but if you like to try good food cooked their way, you will not be disappointed, a good sign was that at weekends the place was full of Austrians. We went with Inghams who have loads of knowledgeable staff there, and who looked after us very well. Sadly we had chosen a week of bad weather but it didn't detract greatly from our enjoyment, although when its cloudy naturally the visibility is lost in the mountains so low walking was the order of the day. This is a heavily forested part of Austria so expect to walk along tracks where the views are limited sometimes, but when they do open up, there is some spectacular scenery.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Seespitz, it is an excellent hotel, the staff are very friendly and welcomed us back, the food is wonderful and the rooms are large and well furnished and the entertainment over New Year was great.
