I just recently stayed here while I was going through Europe with my classmates for a school trip. I stayed here for only one night. I'll start with what I liked about the place: It has amazing views of the mountains, the bathrooms are clean and fancy, the mini arcade is pretty cool, and the dining area is spacious with lots of natural light. Now for the parts I didn't like: The rooms. They're extremely outdated and remind me of the Shining. They might be nice and nostalgic for someone who grew up in the 60's-80's, but as a teen who did not grow up in that time, it was very off putting to me personally. Also, I can't forget to mention the random door in the lobby my friends found that lead to an abandoned disco room, nursery, and a random wall with a bolder wedged inside it. Extremely creepy. Why that door was unlocked and nobody stopped them from going in is beyond me. My friends and I experienced basically every horror movie trope there is in this hotel, from random flickering lights to telephones going off in the middle of the night. Also there wasn't wifi in the rooms and the food was sub-par. On the bright side, this has inspired me to write a short story about this place and all the events that transpired. Very unique hotel overall. This place could be amazing if the rooms were updated to modern standards. Definitely not the worst place to stay, it wasn't dirty, the staff weren't mean, and it is leagues above most American hotels. Just a very eerie place.
