The hotel manager was rude about me having a cat with me. I had paid the pet fee and cats are welcome. She told me that I had to keep her in a cage and this is apparently in the T&C’s! She also asked if I had a litter tray with me, which I did, stating she has to ask this. I asked if she could show me and she said no, I’d have to bring it up with customer services. Well, I went to my room and read through the T&C’s and it doesn’t state this anywhere. When I passed reception again I asked again if she could show me where it states cats must be caged and once again she referred me to customer service so I asked her if she could find the info for later on and she told me she’d print it off for me, which she did not. She was terribly argumentative, even telling me how she’s worked for Travelodge for 7/8 years so those are the rules. I found this whole experience unwelcoming and because of her attitude, I felt the need to take a before and after video of my room just incase the hotel manager found a reason to fine me. I wouldn’t stay here again!
