Regina Adelaide Hotel & SPA

We visited Lake Garda last year, stayed in this wonderful hotel and loved it so much that we’ve just returned from our second visit. Some highlights from our stay: Location is very close to the lake and perfect in terms of shopping and dining in Garda town. Ferry terminal is an easy 10 minute walk for exploring the wider lake area and the bus depot is a 2 minute walk. Verona airport was around 30mins in the hotels own shuttle bus, traffic depending The hotel has a real classy/family feel about the place with common areas and rooms lovingly decorated and maintained. Our most recent room was a lakeside suite on the third floor although tall trees obscured direct lake views. The room was spacious with plenty of plugs, wi-fi, refrigerator, safe, air conditioning and basic TV (BBC/ITV). The bed linen was of obvious high quality although the mattress was on the firm side. Our room was cleaned daily without incident with evening turn down service also on offer. Despite the proximity to the lake front, we never had any issues with noise, even on market day We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and booked direct with the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice including pastries and cakes from a patisserie attached to the hotel. The staff on breakfast duty were always very welcoming and professional without being intrusive. I strongly recommend taking the option to have a long outdoor breakfast in the lovely little garden area We had fantastic weather on this visit so managed plenty of pool time. The pool area is beautiful and set in well-manicured gardens with a pool bar available for drinks and snacks. The staff on the pool bar were again very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Plenty of loungers were available and it was never crowded during both our stays. The hotel uses a token system that allows you one pool towel per person This hotel property is a fantastic option in Garda but I have to say that what really made our holiday, was all the hotel staff we encountered who are a real credit to the hotel.

Needing a pre Christmas get away we were drawn to Garda with its shimmering Christmas displays and the promise of good regional food at the Weekend Christmas Food Festival. The Regina Adelaide offered a homely atmosphere with an overlay of elegance and excellent customer service. The staff were warm and friendly, the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner were above expectations. We enjoyed the hotels own baked goods (available to take home from the attached cafe) along with a cooked to your liking hot food menu each morning and given a delicious "take away" breakfast on our last morning as we had a very early start. We took dinner one evening in the Hotels Regio Patio, exceptional service with a smile, the food sourced locally and with an emphasis on sustainability... a delight. The Spa Facility were amazing, the large pool, with sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, rest areas and Jacuzzi were first class. My DH enjoyed the technogym and spa facilities and was very impressed. We unfortunately due to the cold weather we're unable to enjoy the outdoor areas but we hope to return in better weather to enjoy all the hotel can offer. A jewel on the crown of Garda, this hotel offers first class facilities that everyone will enjoy.

This is a lovely hotel and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The decor and furnishings are very eclectic but this added to the general ambience. Lovely pool, albeit a little cold as it was September. Great pool bar and outside facilities. We opted for bed and breakfast as we enjoy trying different places to eat whilst on holiday. But we did eat in one of the hotel restaurants one night, and the food was lovely. Location is fantastic and within a 5 minute walk, you are in the town centre of Garda. Ferries for visiting other lakeside towns are a 15 minute walk away. Just two minor grumbles however. Firstly, maybe it was the room we were in (212) but we were aware of every shower and toilet flush from all the nearby rooms and were constantly hearing plumbing water running down pipes. Secondly, we have never been charged for drinking water before, anywhere! We stayed at a well known hotel in Dubai last year where drinking water was complimentary. On our last night we were not given any water at all. We're both in our 60's and take medication at night, so this caused an inconvenience which was unnecessary. Overall a very pleasant stay.
