Just had a weeks stay here and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is family owned by, Ugo and he was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. His mother, Virginia was very sweet, but doesn’t speak any English (why should she) so it is best to speak to Ugo We had room 202 and it had a view of the harbour and side, it was a large room with a double bed and two singles. Plenty storage and plug sockets. We were slightly concerned that we would be disturbed by noise from the road and neighbouring restaurants, but the double glazing was fantastic, couldn’t hear a thing. The air con was also very good, sometimes it would stay on even with the windows open. The breakfast was adequate, we just bought some tomatoes to add to the breakfast. Teapots were provided which saved getting up and down for refills. The hotel was spotless and rooms cleaned daily. If you do not wish to be disturbed, use the sign provided to hang on the door. Downstairs in the foyer there is a fridge, which guests are able to use, this was very handy as there’s no fridge in your room. Advisable to take a travel kettle, if you like a cuppa in your room, as there’s no facilities provided. We didn’t have a balcony, but on the first floor, overlooking the lake, there is a communal balcony, providing tables and chairs. We used this in the evening, a lovely area to have a glass of wine/beer. The location couldn’t be better, bus stop a few yards from the front door to Garda etc and opposite for buses towards Riva. Bus tickets were available from the newsagent opposite the harbour. The lake ferry was only 5min walk. There’s a grocery store, Coop, 5 mins walk. Beach 2 min with a bar and for 20 euros you could hire, 2x sun beds & parasol, (which was well worth it for comfort as it is a small pebbled beach. (Lake shoes are a good purchase too, makes it easier to walk) Good walk along to riva along a good path, but beware of bikes, they do tend to weave between pedestrians at speed and do not heed to dismounting outside to hotel in the harbour area. Wonderful breeze that developed as the day went on, was very welcomed. Watching the windsurfing was a treat. Beautiful place, with some good restaurants, bars and takeaways. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
