Cocobay Unawatuna

A very gorgeous place to stay with very friendly staff. Beach stretch is a bit short but still a lot to do and see. Very good located for trips to Peace Pagoda, Jungle Beach, Unawatuna and Galle Fort. La Mer restaurant offers verry delicious and tasty food. Servants are top. A special thanks goes to Saman, Upul and Rag. You made every restaurant visit unforgettable.

My wife and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle before I joined a meeting in Colombo. It was nice and peaceful. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. All our wishes were met with a great restaurant. The adjoining beach was the highlight, lovely.

Small hotel with a swimable cove, very friendly staff and amazing food. Rooms are HUGE. Nothing is a problem. Tuk tuks very close by. Restaurant drinks and food so good we mainly ate on site. Bonus for learner surfers, you can get lessons. We loved it.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Pending weather the beach and ocean are a great experience to enjoy. It might appear a bit worn, but the surroundings made up for it. The sun beds facing the bay is a lovely feature both on a cloudy and sunny day. Recommended visit

I've been to many hotels, but up to now CocoBay one of the best places! We had a room with jacuzzi and own pool. Still, the hotel's best attraction is the food and the staff! From the room cleaners to the waiters everybody is absolutely helpful and polite. If you have any special wish, they do everything to fulfill your need. Lalith and Rajman, and others are ready any time to help. The choice of the food is great, tasty Sri Lankan and Asian spicy meals, but they can organize a barbecue on the beach, where the Chef himself is grilling meat or seafood according to your choice. It was a great stay, thank you!

My boyfriend booked here as a suprise for my birthday and WOW this was the best hotel I’ve ever been in with the best most helpful staff ever! They done the room up for my birthday with balloons, cake abd happy birthday on the bed with real flowers and leafs, it was incredible the detail that went into it all! The breakfast every day was perfect, eating fresh fruit to start with a view of the sea, followed by a cooked breakfast and some toasts and pastries. The food here by the way is immaculate, and it’s no problem to make a special request! My boyfriend booked a private bbq on the beach for dinner for my birthday as well, I can’t explain how good this was, it was so romantic and so perfect. We had our own private chef and private waiter who kept topping our plates up as soon as we’d finished. The food again was incredible, we were spoiled with potato salad, salad and rice, I had vegetable skewers and my partner had chicken and beef, it was so nice listening to the sound of the waves whilst we were eating our dinner. I definitely recommend the private bbq on the beach it was honestly so good and so special! The rooms are spot on, the bed is huge and very comfortable, the bathroom is also HUGE! Nice hot water in the shower and the jacuzzi as well is amazing! You get toiletries topped up daily as well such as shampoo, body wash and conditioner. We had a balcony overlooking the beach where we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets 😍 finally the staff here are all so kind, smiley and helpful. They really feel like your friends and have such great customer service skills I was thoroughly impressed with the service we received here. I wish I could stay here every day for the rest of my life 😍😍😍 thank you so much to everyone at coco bay for making my birthday so special ❤️
