Disappointing Front Office Experience at Blue Beach Galle We recently stayed at Blue Beach Galle on 15 March 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the front office staff. Upon arrival, I was ignored by a male receptionist, who was on a call and did not even acknowledge my presence. However, the real issue began when the other staff by the name of Sewwandi, another receptionist, rudely insisted that I make an additional payment, despite my prior payment being fully settled through the booking portal. Instead of properly verifying the system, she publicly demanded payment in front of other guests, causing unnecessary embarrassment. Throughout the interaction, she showed no courtesy, not even offering a basic greeting or a smile, making the check-in experience extremely unpleasant. Thankfully, a staff member named Avantha stepped in, identified the mistake, and confirmed that my payment was indeed recorded in the system. Had it not been for him, the situation would have escalated further. I strongly urge the management to review their CCTV footage from 2:20 PM onwards to witness this unacceptable service firsthand. On a positive note, Anuj from the restaurant team was outstanding. He went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic dining experience. The entire restaurant team on 16th March 2025, was warm, welcoming, and served delicious food. Employees like Anuj are a true asset to the hotel and deserve recognition. Unfortunately, despite the great service from the restaurant team, our overall impression of the hotel was ruined by the front office staff’s lack of professionalism. I must say good average hotel with bad front office staff..
