A really easy to find hotel located on a fairly busy street in the city centre. I arrived at 12:45 & my room was ready. Jacqueline checked me in, a very friendly, quick & informative check in as I was advised of breakfast times, Wi-Fi, checking out time etc & things in the locality such as restaurants, the train station etc. I was given a key for my room not a card & this key had to be used to open the door to the courtyard where my room was, reassuring security for me. So, on to my room. It was back out of the reception/foyer through the main entrance for me & through the door to the outdoor courtyard. My room across that courtyard was no.33. The electricity for the room was accessed by way of a switch just inside the room door & when the lights were switched on, it was instant wow. A very large, very quirky room that was cleverly designed to maximise all of the space available. The first area that I saw was the work area neatly tucked into a space next to the room entrance. With a desk, chair & reading light it was perfectly located, tucked away from the rest of the room. It had four unused electrical sockets so handy for working, gaming or just charging up phones etc. A radiator provided the heat & a window, the natural light. The tile floored hallway/open space leading to the bathroom & sleeping area had a clothes rail, hat & coat hooks, luggage rack/stool & a full length mirror. The bathroom was open plan, very exposed with no privacy but as it was a single room, it wasn’t an issue for me. It had a tiled floor & the walls were partially tiled but were mostly covered by pvc panelling. There was a large shower enclosure c/w a shower head & hose on a rail that had great water pressure & an abundance of hot water, towels, hairdryer, slippers, mirror, shaving/makeup mirror, ceiling fan/vent, two electrical sockets, small bar of soap & 30ml bottles of body lotion, shampoo & shower gel. The sleeping area had a laminated wood floor, nice sized & comfortable single bed, bedside locker, lamp, smoke alarm, tv, armchair, minibar (photos of prices attached), wardrobe, umbrella, plenty of electrical sockets, radiator & a Dyson cooler fan which cooled from 0 degrees to 10 degrees. Two windows meant plenty of natural light. I had no issues whatsoever with noise. Breakfast was served from 06:45 to 09:00 - Mon – Fri & from 07:30 to 10:00 on Saturday & Sunday. I went in at 09:20 & there were only three other guests there. The food on offer was very good, nice & tasty with a decent selection on offer. It was a mix of buffet & to order & I could eat from both as I pleased. The Self-service buffet had toast, breads, yoghurts, cereals, croissants, muffins, pastries, prunes, tomatoes, cucumber slices, pepper slices, fruit salad, apricot slices, seeds, honey, jams, orange juice, grapefruit juice & smoothies. The staff were ultra-attentive & I was offered the menu for the “to order” selection almost instantly on being seated. That menu had cold meats, cheeses, smok
