Three House Hotel

We had an amazing stay at The Three House Hotel. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. The rooftop pool is stunning. Our girls especially loved the pool and enjoyed having a swim. The croissants in the morning were a lovely touch and very tasty. The roof top cocktail bar is stunning. We enjoyed the jazz music, cocktails and food on our first night. The lady who showed us around when we arrived was very informative and friendly. All of the hotel staff including the bar staff and cleaners were very friendly. The cleaners did a fantastic job of cleaning the apartment. We would love to stay again and would definitely recommend to our friends and family. Lee and Gemma from the UK

I have just returned with my wife from our stay at the Three House Hotel and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We were meant to visit in 2024 but our flight was cancelled and we were unable to make it but I'm glad we made it this time. The location was central and walking distance to so many bars, restaurants and shops. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. The restaurant at the hotel has excellent food and is really good value, the brunch menu was also delicious. The rooftop pool was fantastic and the perfect place to relax in the evening with some chilled music. But by far the most impressive aspect of the trip was how friendly and helpful all of the staff were. They could not do enough to make our experience so memorable. A special thank you to Sid who arranged so much for us before and during our stay. We will be returning.

Our stay at the Three House Hotel was all that we were hoping for and more. Firstly, the location is not only central to wonderful restaurants, the waterfront and sights of interest, it is literally next to a shopping center with a wonderful grocery store which made picking up food for hiking so easy and fun, and with an underground parking garage located under the hotel with direct access, parking for our rental car was easy and provided as an amenity. Our room, really our one bedroom apartment, was beautifully appointed with the bedroom and bath feeling very luxurious. The kitchen was well kitted-out for as much as anyone wanted to cook – we made good use of the kettle for tea and coffee and the refrigerator for a few breakfast items but with the delivery every morning of two delicious croissants (hung in a cute bag on the door), we felt well looked after. The rooftop bar and pool are fabulous – delicious drinks, great views and outstanding service – the perfect place to begin or end an evening! The service, support and information provided by everyone involved with the hotel was excellent with a special thank you to Miguel and Syd for so much helpful information, and to the housekeeping staff who made it a joy to return to our room after our days out. The Three House Hotel truly gave us the vacation experience we were hoping for in every way including feeling a part of the city and culture of Funchal and Madeira – thank you so much, and we are already looking forward to a return stay! Definitely worth traveling from the States!

We stayed at Three House Hotel for a week and it was a fabulous experience in Funchal. First, it’s perfectly situated in the middle of the city, so super easy to walk everywhere and the Aerobus from the airport and other buses stop right outside. The apartment was perfect - really spacious, spotlessly clean, great air conditioning and equipped to a very high standard, with every Smeg kitchen appliance you could wish for. We cooked on a couple of evenings when we wanted a break from restaurant food, and there is a very large supermarket just over the road. A nice touch is that fresh croissants are hung on your bedroom door handle every morning! The hotel staff are incredibly helpful and efficient via What’s App - sharing bus timetables, restaurant recommendations and suggestions for trips around the island. The hotel rooftop cocktail bar and swimming pool are also great additions, and beach towels and bathrobes are provided. The cleaning staff are brilliant - unobtrusive but left the apartment spotless when requested, and the whole hotel smells fresh and inviting. There is also a gym on the second floor which hotel guests can use free of charge, and a little coffee bar on the ground floor. All in all, Three House Hotel is a quirky, friendly, stylish and very comfortable place to stay - I’d certainly recommend it!

We stayed a week in the hotel. Used the kitchen for making breakfast. Every morning we got croissants delivered. Across the street there is a large grocery store. Free parking in the garage under the building. Rent a small car, the places are very narrow. Great terrass on the roof with a direct access from the fifth floor. We had drinks here and the food is good. This is a perfect place to have as a base in Madeira. We discovered the Levadas during the days and the centre during the nights.
