I just returned from a week staying here with a friend. We loved it. The first thing that springs to mind is the lovely staff; every single member we encountered was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The second thing is the location and the amazing views 😍, these would be very hard to beat especially as you get lovely views from the rooms, the dining terrace, the pools and the gym! The hotel is far enough out of town that it is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to walk (or economical for buses/bolt etc if you wanted) The hotel still retains some of its historical grandness and the gardens definitely add to this. Everywhere is immaculately clean, and we really liked the fact that the pools and gym were accessible from early morning until well into the evening. Our room and bathroom were really spacious, air conditioned with a huge TV (we didnt use), a small fridge, tea and coffee, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, yoga mat/block, spa towels ( in addition to normal towels), an easy to use safe and a wonderful garden terrace. The decor was a little dated but everything was pristine and the beds and bedding were supremely comfortable. Finally the food and drink. What can I say. I am missing those amazing breakfasts (I can't imagine anybody not being satisfied with what was on offer) and the view and cheerful staff. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and snacks and drinks in the bar twice too. Both menus offered a good selection of dishes, especially considering this is low season, and the food when it came was divine. ( The Lime ice cream was something else 🤤) We had wine by the glass and it was good quality , Coral beer which is the local very nice pilsner, we also had fresh Poncha from the bar, which was delicious 😁 I definitely recommend this hotel and we intend to return.
