Where do I start!? We were greeted with a warm smile at the gate on arrival from the airport.......I'll let you guess the rest! Superb apartments with modern spotlessly clean rooms serviced daily. The site has 2 pools with a bar and restaurant serving Greek dishes through to chicken nuggets, all spot on. There were always plenty of sunbeds available to us of such quality you could lay on them all day and still be comfortable; believe me I know!! A short walk (5 mins) along a country lane takes you to the beach, mainly pebbles, which is stunning and approx 2 kms long. Along it are various bars and restaurants but all individual and serving great food. The area however is not built up and retains a high level of natural beauty. A short (10 min) taxi ride, cost us 10 Euros, takes you into town which has a myriad of tiny streets to explore along with an impressive harbour. again plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Our holiday was a relaxing affair just as we had planned. We didn't explore the island although many do and say its a fabulous place, we simply indulged in the Villas sublime chilled vibe and properly made use of the sunbeams as stated previously!! In summary if you want to relax you can, if you want to explore you can, if you want to party you can (in town). All in all I fully understand why Villa Elia gets such great reviews and can only recommend to others. Thanks to George and his superb team for their non stop hospitality.

Had a brilliant stay here. The resort and hotel is very clean and immaculate. The gardens are beautiful. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Thank you to Elvin and Barbara who worked so hard to look after us at the pool and bar. Food is good here too and nice selection at breakfast. Enjoyed the cocktails in the evening. Bring insect repellent, the mozzies are relentless at night. None in your room, the insect screen at your door keeps them out. Rooms spacious and clean. Air conditioning brilliant. Close to beach, 5 minute walk and 10 minutes walk to super market, 30 minute walk to town. Would I come back. Absolutely yes.

Lovely family run hotel. Very welcoming. Very clean & well maintained. Beautiful gardens. Every aspect from maids, breakfast , bar & reception was run very efficiently. Lovely homemade food coming out if the kitchen. Very authentic. 8 minute walk to a lovely beach. A few restaurants scattered along. Although nice food, preferred the hotel food. Hired a car for 4 days. Did this independently Though hotel would have organised if requested. Parking spot was a nice surprise. Easy to get around the island & worth doing.

You have read all the glowing reviews of Villa Elia, and they are quite right, it’s a lovely resort, clean and comfy, nice and peaceful too but there are many things that it would have been useful to know before arrival, I hope this helps. The area though close to Lefkas feels a little cut off, the roads are tiny and narrow, there are no footpaths and no public transport so unless you rent a car or use taxis you’ll be restricted in your options. There are mozzies, when you are out and about you will get bitten, though our room is mozzie free. The nearest shop is 15 minutes away along narrow roads, it is also extremely expensive, a small box of Alpen muesli costs €6.90, a litre of milk €2.70 and the bakery sells stale food, I had the worst cheese pie I have had in 20 years of coming to Greece. Unfortunately there are no other shops in the area so they can get away with scamming tourists. The Tui rep,Seesee, is fantastic, she met us at the airport and travelled on the coach with us to Lefkada where we had to transfer to a minibus as the coaches cannot get close to Villa Elia, this does mean that any trips you book through Tui will mean you have to walk to the supermarket for pick up and back from there on return. There are not many local tavernas, perhaps four or five within easy walking distance, the food at Villa Elia is excellent though. Inflation hasn’t ignored Greece, it’s 6 euro for a large Mythos at the pool bar. Don’t forget a torch for evening walking. Car hire costs €362 for 7 days all included (smallest car from Avis via Tui, see the rep) the hotel can also arrange car hire which could possibly be a cheaper option. I hope this hasn’t put you off as Villa Elia itself is lovely.

Hotel was very clean and very well kept.Breakfast very basic but ok.Bar food was very nice and had a nice pool area and bar. However the internet is very poor and sometimes non existent. The resort was less than impressive. It has quite along beach front with maybe 4 bars. I found only 1 that was good for an evening meal.A couple of times when we went out all of them were shut, very strange.I like a chilled resort but this was too quiet even for me

We booked a "Studio with garden view" for 6 nights end of August in Alselia wing for an average price of 200eur/night, breakfast included. I will say from the beginning that it was the worst value for money so far, paid not only for a 4* accommodation but from all the places that we stayed. We paid far less money for 4* accommodation and much, much better conditions. The first thing that hit me was the mold found on the tray under the freezer, rusty shelves in the refrigerator and it was obvious that the fridge wasn't cleaned before. In fact, the fridge and the furniture were old, had scratch marks and creaked. It is true that the room had a filter machine, but without filter. If you want to use it you need to come with filter paper. The room is not soundproof, you can hear children crying/screeming/playing. Definitely, from my point of view, it's not an ideal place for the honeymooners (or maybe it is, as you could have second thoughts having children) . People were coming and leaving during the night or early in the morning and you could hear everything. The breakfast was average, food was good but nothing extraordinary; for example, the orange juice wasn't freshly squized but poured from boxes, the coffee was ordinary. The food was the same every day, but enough to eat something else every day: eggs all kind (boiled, fried, omelet, scrambled), 3-4 kinds of cheese, vegetables, yogurt, pancakes and different sweets, fresh fruits, tea, milk. A tip for the area: if you want to buy a bottle of watter, the closest shop is approximate 1km away or you can buy it from local terraces/taverns/restaurants. A plus for the people at the reception, as we received good recommendations for places to eat in the area and things to do. Another plus for the pool and the recreation areas (for example the tennis courts: we didn't use them but we saw the people playing, even late in the night), the garden looks very nice, well maintained. A nice touch was the name of the location embroaded on the towels and sleeping pillows. Overall, we wanted to have a restful and relaxing vacation and this didn't happen. The most important thing for the people who are delivering services should be the client satisfaction, and this should be valid even more in the horeca sector. The owners should be aware that sometimes the customers make big efforts to have a vacation and to pay this amount of money (200eur/night it's not so cheap) and for what? For mold, rust, scratched and creaky furniture?

We loved Villa Elia. The grounds are beautiful, the room one of the nicest we have stayed in in Greece. The staff at the hotel are fabulous, helpful and kind. One night, we got back late from Lefkada town and the key card wouldn’t work as the magnet had become dislodged. I called reception and within three minutes, someone was up to our room and the card was quickly replaced. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk to the beach where there are a few good tavernas. You can also get a taxi into Lefkada town for 10 euros where there are hundreds of tavernas and bars. The nearest shop is around 15 mins walk away which we did once and it was a very hot walk! Reception will sort a taxi out for you though if you aren’t up for the walk. The pools are gorgeous, sun beds never fully used and the bar staff are great. There’s also tennis courts where you can book a 1 hour lesson with a tennis pro for 30 euros if that’s your thing. All-in-all, we loved Lefkada and Villa Elia and would love to return. Unless you want to be in a loud, busy resort, you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed here for a week, all our apartments were spotlessly clean. Cleaning lady came in everyday, towels and linen changed every 2 days. All staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Grounds and pools immaculate. Breakfasts adequate, had snacks and 1 evening meal all ok. Short walk to the beach where there is several tavernas and eateries all good food. Supermarket a trek away if no car. A very pleasant week.
