Marriott's St. Kitts Beach Club

This hotel has a beautiful beach and his situated with walking distance and short driving distance to many restaurants. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean the people friendly in the food delicious. The hotel itself is on the older side however, the staff is super efficient and friendly and it is a great value.

My Fiance and I stayed here right after we got engaged. We had a wonderful time relaxing on the beach. The staff was so friendly, and the resort was very tidy. Just a heads up, the food options in the resort are a little bit limited at lunchtime. There are more restaurants open for dinner though! If we return to Saint Kitts, we would definitely stay there again.

We visited St. Kitts for a week in early March. St. Kitts is wonderful, clean, and the people are the friendliest islanders ever, will return. PROS: This Marriott is huge, lots of food options, we tried them all and never had a bad meal. All the servers were extremely friendly, service is slow, but we were on island time so it was OK with us but we met a lot of folks who were unhappy. The grounds were always spotless. The beach is very large, waves are awesome and there is a break wall to help with the breaking waves. Lots of chairs and cabanas on the beach, free for guests, but get there before the cruise ship day pass folks get there. The pools are big, very clean, we never had a problem getting seats. Hot tub is nice also. Across the street is a small grocery store and pharmacy, and there is also some shopping on the resort. Bottom line is we loved it here and will return. CONS: we didn't realize when we booked our Ocean view room that there were so many buildings on the property, we thought we would be in the main hotel. We are seniors and my husband is recovering from 2 ankle surgeries and struggles to walk distances, and our room was the farthest away from the main hotel, AND the worst part was when we got to the building, we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. I think that somehow folks should be asked if walking such a long distance, then up 3 flights of stairs is doable. We were never able to go get a good cup of coffee or breakfast in the morning because we didn't want to walk the distance and climb the stairs more than we needed to. We have been Marriott members forever and did ask for a change but were told there wasn't another ocean view room available, which i find hard to believe because the resort was not busy. Housekeeping: we understand that they only Tidy Up the room every day, make the bed, empty trash, but this was lacking --one day the women cleaning was waiting for us at the bottom of the stairs at about 5 o'clock and asked us if we wanted our room tidied? that was awkward because we were on our way up the stairs. Every day we didn't have the supplies to make a cup of coffee, we would ask for more coffee, we would get coffee but no sugar or creamers, ugh..again it was a far walk for us to get the good stuff. We left notes, told the front desk. Bathroom-- my only complaint is that the jetted tub was so tall, i had a very hard time climbing over the tub to take a shower, and the shower was slippery, my husband called it a death trap. Issues another senior may have. AC in the room- just awful.. the hall outside our room was wonderful but the AC in the room was always at 72/73--and the get this temp we had to have the blower on high which was like sleeping next to a jet engine. We will definitely visit St. Kitts again, and we will stay at this resort because we know now what's up with the rooms.

I was disappointed with this Marriott property. The facility is.. okay. The rooms.. okay. The pool.. okay. There is not a functional ice machine in the building. It’s all a little tired. The staff is very friendly but not attentive. When I arrived, the concierge was fully engaged. I came back in the early afternoon and she was gone. I tried the next day and learned she would not be in. A very kind person at guest registration stepped in to help, and had great ideas. She promised to make arrangements for me the next day and confirm all by email, none of which happened. I wound up taking care of it all myself (with the exception of one dinner reservation she did handle). When I later found myself stranded at the water taxi dock after returning from a day trip to Nevis, I called the hotel to ask them to arrange a taxi to bring me back. After a brief hold, they told me to find a local bar and have the bartender call a cab. When I said “I was hoping you could do that for me”, she replied that it would be easier to have the bartender do it. Easier for whom? Another example - my neighbor in the adjoining room was loud and disruptive. I asked for a new room and was offered only one with a lesser view. I declined. The hotel must offer day passes to cruise ship passengers. I don’t know that to be so, but nothing else would explain the throngs of people that descended on the pool (and particularly the pool bar) when the ships came into port. It detracted from my experience as a hotel guest and gave the entire pool area the ambiance of a municipal pool on a holiday weekend. I’m pretty loyal to Marriott and have modest Bonvoy status. But I was disappointed in this hotel and don’t think I’ll stay there again.

This is our 18th year coming to this resort and it is always incredible. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Management takes incredible care of the property. The activities team keeps updating all of the events and keeping it fresh. Highly recommended

HI there, We were in St. Kitts enjoying beautiful weather and scenery and decided to try Mariott's St. Kitts resort New Year's Eve event. The ad looking very promising - cocktails, 2 drink tickets, tasty looking menu, live music, fireworks at midnight and DJ. So far so good. Unfortunately this is a case where the ad raised the expectations way too high and they just couldn't deliver. :-( Hits: Shrimp appetizer very nice - mild cajun seasoning - good sized shrimp. Prime Rib - very tasty, a bit overdone for my taste (prefer medium rare) but still very good Sweet Potato hash station - delicious! Some really nice additions too - bacon mix, salsa, etc. Went back twice. :-) Brochettes - they were OK (not a big hit) Not hot enough - woman at station having a real bad day, not patient enough to heat them up properly Fireworks - they put on a excellent show with a big flourish - well done! Sadly that was about it.... Misses - so many misses...: There were NO cocktails - it was fruit juice. Basically they lied on the ad. Dinner music - a long coma inducing Kenny G set - wish I had brought my bluetooth speaker for our table. Live music - one good female vocalist, the guy singing was BRUTAL.. trying to do MJ falsetto - wow, so bad. Stick to your one octave range please. Hors d'ouevres passed around - very average - cold what should be hot. Little flavor - disappointing Desert - plenty of sugary donuts and large messy jars of caramel, chocolate.... and the spoons were to short so you had to stick your hand into a gloppy mess... ugh. And one BIG MISS - the drinks - not sure who gave the instructions to overpour the alcohol and underpour the mixer... but G&T was 90%G.... same with whiskey, rum, vodka.... we ordered separate ONLY mixers to mix ourselves - otherwise undrinkable. DJ - too little too late - after the fireworks we were done with the place. To summarize - NOT WORTH IT - play pictionary and watch the countdown on TV with a your own drinks and friends. Live and learn!
