Grand Lucayan

Has a great relaxing vacation at the Lighthouse Pointe in Grand Lucaya Beach. The staff were amazing and the food was great. Chef and staff were great at accomodation dietary concerns. The beach was fabulous for beach walking. Miles of soft white sand to walk on. The ocean waters were beautiful turquois blue. Room was clean and spacious. Day time entertainment around the pool provided by Barry was fun and upbeat. Only downfall was the pool could use some work and daily cleaning. Golf at the nearby Reef golf course provided fun and good challenges. All round we enjoyed our week and look forward to going back.

Unbelievable stay at the resort. Staff was amazing and Chris in concierge sent us in the right direction for a day excursion! She is amazing and just a wonderful person. The beautiful supervisor in the dining room was kind and they all went above and beyond in service. The hotel itself was so relaxing and clean. Our room was an oven view with a patio and was spotless. Air worked great. The infinity pool overlooking the ocean was warm and inviting. Our bartender made the best drinks and had good information on things to do on the Island and just local Information. We will be back. We fell in love with the place and the people!

The First 3 days we were in the Resort, it was raining all day and we were expecting at least something from the resort. Unfortunately, there was no entertainment and the food everyday for Lunch for 7 days are the same. It was a BUFFET , but always, Hotdogs, Hamburger, Nachos, chicken Wings and salad. Yes, you can order Pizza , but what we were expecting was at least to have different food , not the same everyday.

Stayed two nights as a sea and land cruise package. Note this resort obviously has undergone severe damage from hurricane and is rebuilding, so I’m sure that some of the issues will improve as this continues. The good: has a stunning and remarkable beach, grounds and pool area. The wrap around infinity pool is one of the best I’ve ever seen (could have been cleaner). But was an absolute pleasure sitting next to it. The beach area had plenty of seating and was close to the area ti get drinks. They had a fun DJ by the pool and beach with music. Several games outside including shuffle board corn hole and connect 4. Location was great next to the lucayan marketplace. We upgraded to an ocean view room and it was so worth it…stunning. Area for improvement: The website needs updated. Many of the amenities and things they shared on there are no longer accurate. A few very kind and fun employees but the majority were very rude. The food was not good and all meals are buffet style, though it’s not really set up as a true buffet so food setting out with no protection from sneezes, air borne, or correct temperature. Although the locations for dining were stunning views and very comfortable outdoor dining options. AC was not working correct so our room was very warm and humid. Hot tub and pool were not very clean, though rooms and other grounds areas were.

This is a lovely family-friendly resort. It was our first time in the Bahamas and we had a wonderful experience. The staff is super courteous and do all they can to meet your needs. The facilities are very clean - rooms, common areas, and restaurants. The food was consistently good and the buffets had many choices. The breakfast chefs made great omelettes, pancakes and French toast daily! The only drawback is that there is not much to do off property, but the resort can’t be faulted for that. If a quiet and relaxing vacation is your goal, then this is the place for you!

Terrible food is bad. They use the same food over and over again. No variation in meals. Drinks are weak. Customer service in restaurant is horrible. One riom door wouldn't lock, 2nd room ac leaked, third room nasty and had bugs. Beware of scams on the incidental charges. They charged $100 but wouldn't allow me to charge a $10 drink to my room. Chased me down the walkway like I stole something then called my room the next time. So embarrassing the lack of professionalism is rampant. Let me add if you are white you won't get this treatment.
